5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Solution - Protoarc XK03
I am legally blind, and typing on a phone or tablet is problematic. Using google speech to text is great, but you always have situations where that's not appropriate or feasible.Years ago, I tried to use an expensive Belkin BT keyboard, but it was uncomfortable and not very tactile, and to me, unusable. I gave up on the idea of BT keyboards for a few years, until just the other day.I saw reviews of this ProtoArc XK03, so I decided to give it a try.I'm glad I did. This thing is LIGHT YEARS better than my initial experience with BT keyboards. Not only does this not cramp your fingers into a tiny space, the key travel is actually decent. More like a laptop keyboard. The printed text on the keycaps is very legible, and I had no problem finding what I needed very quickly. They even have bumps on the F and J keys, as it should be. Very helpful for touch-typists.There's no F1 - F12 row, but if you want to hit one of those, hit FN and one of the keys on the number row. There's both WIN and OPTION keys, to satisfy both Mac and PC users. The backspace key doubles as a DEL key, and the arrow keys do HOME, END, PGUP, PGDN etc....and as silly as this is to say, yes it has an ESC key. (many BT keyboards do not.)It supports up to 3 devices, so I have my phone, tablet and Xbox paired up with it. Have you ever tried entering strings of text with an Xbox controller? It's maddening.I have not done any typing tests with this yet, but I imagine it's not going to be much slower than a normal desktop keyboard. The keys feel that good.I also love that it turns itself on when you open it up, and shuts itself off when you close it. Nice touch.Anyway, enough rambling. Good job, ProtoArc.
5.0 out of 5 stars Professional quality
Everything about this keyboard has impressed me: the packaging, the note from the designer, the feel of the keys, and the ease of connectivity. I love that it's ready to go every time I open it. I bought this to help with tennis elbow, and so far it's at least better than my laptop's keyboard in terms of ergonomics. There is a slight learning curve if you've never used a keyboard like this before, but it's worth sticking to it.

Connecting with Bluetooth was fine. The keyboard itself seems ok, my issue is with the documentation and how to use the keys in “blue” writing. The function keys F1, etc is a bit “tricky” and the documentation online is wrong.Pressing Fn + key doesn’t use the Function. For instance, for F2, pressing Fn + 2 changes the brightness. Even though the “map” on the key itself and the documentation says it should be F2. You need to press Fn + Shift + 2 for F2 to work. It’s a bit counterintuitive. If you are someone that uses the F Keys more than the dim, brightness, etc keys, like myself, then this keyboard may not be for you. A better labeling of the key, for consistency, would be to switch where F2 is printed with the brightness label on the key. It would provide a better visual that Shift is required for F2 AND update the documentation. And provide better documentation with the keyboard itself. In the end, a small thing, but something that mattered to me.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent keyboard
I wanted a small, light keyboard to bring when traveling, use in the office, etc. And ergonomic. This keyboard was just what I needed. It's so thin, light, easy to set up! Highly recommend it
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice little keyboard
My laptop is small because I'm typically using it with large monitors in my office. This keyboard is great for the handful of times when I do need to use it as an actual laptop. I have wide shoulders so this keyboard is far more ergonomic than the built in keyboard.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great
This easily connects to my IPad and easy to type on. Feel like I don’t need my computer any longer.
4.0 out of 5 stars Foldable Keyboard
Portable but not very quite key clicks.
5.0 out of 5 stars The best portable keyboard of several that I've used
Prior to finding this keyboard by accident, my go-to has been the Microsoft foldable keyboard. Although it takes up more space, both folded and unfolded, this one is more comfortable, spaces the keys wider, and the 2 halves are further apart. The Microsoft keys are a little less stiff, which I prefer; perhaps this keyboard will loosen up over time. For some, this could be a replacement for an ergonomic keyboard on your desk, lacking only the crowning (place a pen under the hinge?) and front/back height adjustability. So far I've used it with a Windows laptop, Chrome tablet, and my Android phone, all without issue.
Perfect
Super easy to set up. I love that it is easy to pack up atcthe end of each day. I have been using it for 3 months and no issues.
Amazing quality product
This keyboard is amazing, it is light and portable, looks small but once you open it up, feels like a full size keyboard. The keys are responsive and easy to press, pairing with both my Dell laptop and my iPhone was a breeze. I am so glad I now have the option to use an ergonomic keyboard when I travel for work, to save the pain in my wrists from typing on a regular keyboard. Also, the quality seems great, and the packing adds a nice touch. It felt like I was unboxing an Apple product, you get a nice card from the owner, and the phone stand which I use more than I thought I would, since I can easily switch the pairing from laptop to phone. Even greater, it comes with 2 years warranty. You can’t go wrong!
Decent wireless ergonomic keyboard, BT/3 device, portable/foldable, works as expected, longevity TBD
This is a decent wireless ergonomic keyboard that's portable, seems reasonably well-built, and works as expected without issues (so far). It can be connected via up to 3 devices via Bluetooth; however, it is BT-only and it doesn't have with a 2.4GHz done that many others do so Bluetooth is necessary on your computer/device in order to use this keyboard. Pairing is easy and it's straightforward as any other BT devices at this point in time; nothing fancy here.It has a built-in rechargeable battery rated for 250 mAh; however, that's unverifiable although it's a bit on the smaller end of the equation in comparison to some other portable wireless keyboards, ergonomic or otherwise. It can be charged via USB-C as most others are (if you see MicroUSB, you should return it). This particular ergonomic keyboard is fairly slim and compact although it's actually slightly larger than anticipated, which I do appreciate; an ultra-small ergonomic keyboard (or small keycaps specifically) defeats the purpose in my mind because it's simply uncomfortable to type/work on. The keyboard will automatically turns itself on when it's unfolded and off when it's folded back. It appears to default to BT #3 but it can be changed easily and quickly via the shortcut (e.g. Fn+Q/W/E). Btw, this keyboard does NOT have a right CTRL key which I do find annoying and frustrating because I actually use it quite often. The keys are reasonably responsive with a typical scissor switch feel although it makes no claims as to what type of switches it's using so I'm just guess here. With that being said, most of these slim keyboards do use scissor switches due to their low profile design and they do need to bottom-out to actuate. Generally speaking, I'm not a big fan of scissor switches simply because I don't like how they feel; however, I do understand that they serve specific purpose that' difficult to do without them and I do expect these to be scissor switches (or at least some variations of it) given the circumstance. In any event, they do work just fine without issues and they are responsive and accurate as most others are.Aside from the obvious that this is an ergonomic keyboard and it's probably one of the primary reasons that draw you here, I do like the fact it's foldable and its overall look and feel; somewhat hefty but not overly so. The material is made of PU that's typical of most other with similar design and style. In addition, I do like the fact that the 2 halves are magnetically attached (i.e. magnetic closure) and that's certainly a point in its favor. However, like most other foldable keyboards, the foldable part is its weakest link and it's usually the first one to fail (well, aside from coffee/coke spills and I digress). It's difficult to say how long it will last but I have foldable keyboards that failed within months so I guess we shall see.Keyboard ghosting is a common issue and this one is certainly vulnerable from it but that's expected for keyboards like this; however, that shouldn't be an issue for most people given the circumstance. I should also mention that I have had quite a few of these keyboards and depending on a few factors (luck being one of 'em), this can last 1-2 years or it can crap out in a few months (e.g. certain keys no longer register strokes) so just be aware that.≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a decent wireless ergonomic keyboard that seems well-built and for the most part works as expected without issues. It's fairly slim and compact but not overly so to be an issue (for me at least) and it does have certain heft to it which I do appreciate. The keys are reasonably responsive and accurate and the overall experience has been positive although it does take some getting used to given the size and shape since no ergonomic are the same and adjustments are often required (again, for me at least). It's reasonably priced at $50 for what it provides and its overall build quality, usability, versatility, and performance. Your mileage might vary.
Great little thing
Works great! Easily connects to my device. The folding mechanism to turn it off is great too. The keys are surprisingly larger than what I expected and the split layout definitely takes a little time to get used to, but once you do, typing is very fun.
Outstanding Convenient Keyboard
The keyboard is outstanding in typing and very convenient for travel, on desktop or in any scenarios I can think of. The quality of product is good enough for the price. In a nutshell, this keyboard is definitely a good design for multi-purpose and convenient using. Like it a lot.
