5.0 out of 5 stars Works with Steam Deck
I have the original Steam Deck and wanted a compact keyboard for it. I opened it and went into the Bluetooth setting on my Steam Deck and they keyboard was already discoverable, whole process of pairing took about 5 seconds. It also came with instructions on pairing but did not need them for this. I checked all the keys and played with the trackpad for a little bit and everything worked really well. So far it is exactly what I was looking for. It also has a little stand that would work well for a phone or tablet, but it "does" work with the deck as well. The Steam Deck is larger than the groove on the stand so if anyone bumps it it will definitely fall off, but the stand wasn't intended for the Steam Deck so no biggie there. The keyboard also came with a small pouch that also has a separate slot for the phone stand which is nice for tossing in the backpack.
4.0 out of 5 stars Better of the three I have tried
I have purchased and tried the following:ProtoArc XK01 TP vs Samsers vs ProtoArc XK02The largest of the three, and I believe the newest. This was the third device tested. It has a dedicated function row, the largest trackpad, and the largest key caps.Pros:-I get my highest WPM on this one, even though its not my favorite feel, it is the most comfortable layout-Trackpad is the largest, best texture, most responsive.-No weird feet to flip out-Good carry case-opening and closing turns on and off-Sleep isn't intrusive-All black look is clean and simple-most full layout, most keys, largest caps-due to dedicated bluetooth switch keys, there are more function options available on F row-has home/end/pgUP/pgDnCons:-Trackpad does not have "natural scrolling"-Largest when folded up-my hinge caps are a bit loose, and the noises when opening and closing are the least satisfying/natural of the three-keys aren't as stable as the smallest board, on par with the Samsers-most expensive-key feel is deepest, but can come off as a bit mushy. (I still type fastest on this, but that is mainly due to the superior layout, it is not the most enjoyable to type on)-Key cap material probably lowest quality/look/feel of the three
5.0 out of 5 stars I was surprised
I have used this keyboard a fair bit now. I am using it with a Boox Air 3c tablet and my Pixel Fold.It has worked very well with both, I have no complaints. I have tried other portable keyboards and had problems with missed or double letters. This one has done none of that. The track pad has a good feel as well. The only "ding" I can report is the included stand is not very tall and I don't feel comfortable using my tablet with it. Luckily the tablet has a stand built into the portfolio cover.I recommend this to others.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very solid
I got this to use with my rog ally, but I've found that it's generally fantastic. I'm an IT guy who is frequently travelling onsite, and this is my travel keyboard.I highly recommend it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Trifold Bluetooth Keyboard and Trackpad PAIRS with THREE Devices and WORKS with Smart TV Logins!
Bolo VINE REVIEW of the ProtoArc Foldable Keyboard with Touchpad, XK01I have been looking for a keyboard and mouse that works with my TV Subscription Services for YEARS. In that time, I bought and RETURNED FOUR name brand keyboards that said they work with TV’s. A couple of them DID work with the Smart TV, but NOT with the onerous LOGIN sequences that must be completed using the TV Remote Control to scroll across an On-Screen alphabet and enter your information ONE CHARACTER selection and press at a time. The level of frustration is maddening…press the key ONCE, get TWO entries of that character. Make a mistake and you are flying up – down – left – and – right to find the backspace key!Switching from Lowercase to Caps and Letters to Numbers and…SPECIAL CHARACTERS!MADDENING!Until Thursday, July 18, 2024. That was the date of my liberation from Logins with TV Remote Controls!Because THIS ProtoArc Foldable Keyboard with Touchpad XK01 really DOES work with my subscription services. I PURPOSELY logged OUT of my subscription sites TRYING to find a flaw, make it fail. I was disappointed EVERY time I tried in the past. And this time it WORKS! EVERY TIME. ON EVERY SITE.It lets you PAIR with THREE BLUETOOTH DEVICES each selectable from the keyboard. I have my Pixel Phone, my Samsung Tablet, and our family room Samsung TV paired with the keyboard. I plan to get additional keyboards for the other TVs in the house. The idea of logging in without this convenience EVER again is a definite NO for me.It took LESS than a MINUTE to pair with each device. The instructions are SIMPLE. Turn Bluetooth ON and Discoverable on your device. Press and HOLD DOWN one of the THREE special keys (labelled 1 – 2 – 3) until it starts to blink rapidly. Your device will find the keyboard in SECONDS. Select it and press PAIR. THAT IS IT!The full-size Keyboard and Touchpad work like every other keyboard. USB-C charging port. Mine fully charged in about 50 minutes. The company says a Two-Hour charge gives 150 days of Standby Time.It tri-folds for storage in its carry bag AND has a pocket on the back with a foldable stand to hold your phone or tablet. See the attached pictures! One hint if your TV is a SAMSUNG. There is a MENU ITEM for EXTERNAL DEVICES where you will find BLUETOOTH KEYBOARDS as an entry. Check for that menu. If you have it, the process on the TV side is simply to select BLUETOOTH KEYBOARD and the TV will FIND and PAIR with the “ProtoArc XK01” in SECONDS.NEVER log in to your TV the OLD way ever again. TYPE text messages into your PHONE and TABLET from this small, foldable, easily transportable keyboard. What is that convenience and simplicity worth to you?Bolo has this keyboard for $49.99 (JULY 2024). Some of the returned keyboards that did not work cost more than this one. The difference is THIS ONE WORKS AS ADVERTISED!This Bolo VINE Review of the ProtoArc Foldable Keyboard with Touchpad, XK01 is FIVE STARS!Five Stars! for THREE DEVICES, Full-size Keyboard and Touchpad, Trifold with a Carry Sleeve, and a Phone/Tablet foldable stand in a pocket on the back of the sleeve. And the keyboard is BUILT to accommodate both WINDOWS and MAC users’ keys.FIVE STARS! because they will not let me give it SIX!THANKS, Bolo!Mark in North Carolina
4.0 out of 5 stars Wish it was a little smaller
Love it but its like 20% too big for what i was hoping for!
Works like a charm ...
For some of us old folks who dislike trying to type on that cell phone keyboard, this is a remedy for that stress. Works very well. Very easy to set up. Took me about two minutes after charging the keyboard. Needs to function on a hard surface. I would say this is not a "lap-board". Read the instructions and carry on.
Mostly good, sequel could fix a few things
Overa I'm quite happy with this product. It's compact, functional, and is perfect to use on my phone or even my mac mini. The touchpad isn't great, nothing like a MacBook touchpad. It's serviceable, but I'd rather use a mouse alongside this keyboard.I'd also like to see the keys light up in a future successor. For the price I can't complain too much though!!Overall, I'd reccomend if you need a compact portable keyboard.
Impressive keyboard
I’ve mostly used Logitech wireless keyboards in the past. I’ve bought this keyboard specially for use with an iPad Air M2.I’m very please (and impressed) by the design and the functionalities of this keyboard. It allows to configure 3 different devices, and easily switch between them. It has all the shortcuts for easy operation on iPadOS. You also get most of the same shortcuts that you’d have on a desktop, which is very cool.Basically, I can now use my iPad almost as if it was a laptop, with this keyboard.
Très bien !
J'utilise ce clavier avec mon PC,mon Android et mon iPhone.
Ugh I wish it locked into place!
Seems well made. Typing experience is decent for what it is. I had a vision of using this in my car with portable monitor and/or laptop on my dash. Well... This isn't going to be the solution because the hinges do not lock. In your lap, it just tries to fold up.Seems like it could have been a simple feature to add but alas.
