This was such an easy setup, I just opened up the box and plugged them in. I tested them and they were loud and quite bright which makes me feel safe if something were wrong that it’d notify me easily. I feel like it’s a good value for two items that could save my family’s life

We bought the pair. We have one in the living room and one in the bedroom where both gas fireplaces are located. The product comes with green function indicator lights, which were too bright for the bedroom. Husband placed electrical tape over the brightest light, which doesn’t interfere with functionality. Problem solved & would recommend.

This little detector is definitely easy to use, just plug and go. I can see where it would be great for travel. I ordered it for home. How accurate it might be is unknowable; I have no idea how to test it for accuracy. Pushing the test button sets off the alarm and a series of numbers pass across the screen but what do they mean? Not a clue as the instructions are pretty useless. The problem with plug in is that outlets tend to be close to the floor and carbon monoxide is lighter than air, so it rises. The instructions recommend installing near, or on, the ceiling. Who has electric outlets on their ceiling??? I figure it's better than nothing, until I get around to replacing the ceiling smoke detector with one that also warns of carbon monoxide.
