I've been very impressed with this product. It works well with our robot vacuum, they make a good team for keeping the pool clean. We live in the northeast and have plenty of leaves and other debris, so this was wel worth the investment.

I was a little skeptical about this skimmer at first. But, having used it for a couple of months, I now know it was worth every penny spent.My neighbors have a number of pine trees, and every day I had to clean out the needles that fell or blew into the pool. That job got real old, real fast!This little fellow collects all the needles floating on the surface while my Dolphin sucks up all the ones that sank to the bottom.Another plus is my skimmer requires a lot less attention due to hardly any needles being sucked into it.Now all I have to do around the pool is wait for 5 o’clock…

So far this has been a great product. Took about 5 min to go from the box to starting to clean. It is lightweight and easy to handle. The debris basket is quick and easy to remove and clean. Operationally it is super quiet. Unit worked during the day and through the night without externally charging. Over all very happy I got this and it will save time and effort skimming up floating stuff. Kind of mesmerizing watching it maneuver into and out of corners. I have not had any issues with it hanging in skimmers or steps. Couple nits. It does have trouble with some soft flowery debris, these tend to stick to the paddles and sometimes get ejected when the machine backs up. 2nd it seems to go in reverse at odd times, like in the middle of the pool where there are no obstacles. I am assuming this is part of generating a "random" pattern of cleaning. First attempt at using the remote to control movement failed, I'll need to try that again.

I have this solar powered skimmer for about 3 weeks. I got it because my son-in-law got one and loved the job it did. I do too. I just drop it in my pool and let it skim. I haven't charged it since I got it. I keep it skimming 24/7 and only take it out of my pool when we swim. My pool surface is always spotlessly clean. Between my pool skimmer and this solar powered unit, my pool looks great with very little work on my part. I have pine needles, leaves and bugs that drop in, this takes care of them with ease. The skimmer basket is large and is very easy to change and clean. The sensors work great keeping the unit moving up to and along the walls, including finding debris that blows in. Impressive skimmer. The solar power is great, just drop it in and forget it.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not pickup up leaves, not even small ones.
Very disappointing. This is getting small things like a couple beetles and a few dozen ants (we get ants when it rains they exit through some tiny hole in the tile on the side) but it's not getting leaves. These are small leaves from 1-3 inches, normal almond eye shape type, nothing big or complicated. This was the main reason to get this, to get the leaves that fall in. It also tends to stick in one area too long and when the pump is on (most of the day) it doesn't even go anywhere sometimes, maybe it's confused by the water flow and "thinks" it's moving... but it's not. For this price, it's a waste of money so far. We'll give it a few more days and see if the makers have any advice.

I've read a lot of reviews about how slow this thing is but it works fine for my pool. It won't clean every leaf from the surface in 15 minutes but if you just let it run, it will do its job. The motors are a bit underpowered since they can't fight the pool jets when the pump is on but I don't run my pump 24x7 so it gets the rest when the pump is off. Big basket that holds a lot of debris. If it gets loaded, even half-way, you have to empty it since the motors are not powerful enough to push it around when it's weighed down. So far, I've been happy with the performance since I haven't had to go out there yet with a net. When the leaves really start falling it may be another story but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Betta Skimmer Bot works round the clock skimming leaves and floating debris. Charged by the sun. If you don't have enough sun, you can manually charge it. Great buy!

Keep the basket clean
Great product. Helps with the surface debri. Can just leave it on and just remember to check the basket, empty it and start it up again. Love that it is solar. And it has leg extensions for it won’t get caught on steps.
Excellent product
The media could not be loaded. It does exactly what it's made to do.Cleans all the falling leaves before they get to the bottom of the pool. With this robotic skimmer and my robotic pool cleaner, my pool is clear all the time. Great buy. Highly recommended

Not worth the price
What you can pick-up with your net in 10 or 15 minutes takes this robot 2 hours. I bought this because I had to pass the net every hour so the robot being solar sounded practical to have. It does end up cleaning the top, but I have a good size pool (36 X 22) but this robot unlike my submersible one does not have a pattern. It does not go more than 5 feet before turning it does not measure the size and form of the pool so it can stay in the same place and the debris ends up in the skimmer. If it is a windy day it will deviate off course. The pool jets take it off course. In the end your pool will be clean but this thing moves so slow leaves have time to go around it

The media could not be loaded. A friend recommended this product. I am very pleased with it. Easy set up. No maintenance. Just empty the basket. No noise as it runs on solar power. It’s made a big difference to the amount of debris that collects in my skimmer basket. So I feel like that will reduce the wear and tear on the skimmer and my pump. Love the product. I don’t love how expensive it is. I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn’t so outrageously expensive. If you have leaves/flowers etc that fall in your pool and float a bit before sinking you will appreciate this effortless little helper in keeping your pool clean. Really is a gem.
