5.0 out of 5 stars This stuff is great
I love the sandy feel of this scrub. I think it’s great for once a week so you don’t dry your skin.
4.0 out of 5 stars Very Gritty
This does feel very gritty and it doesn't seem like it dissolves well. After using this in the shower, my bathtub floor is coated with the very gritty feeling and I question where it will go later and whether it will clog my drains. It does leave my skin feeling soft especially after I shave. Works as a great exfoliant to prep skin for shaving as well.
3.0 out of 5 stars Very coarse grit
This is a review for "First Aid Beauty - KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA, Keratosis Pilaris Exfoliating Skin Cleanser with 10% Lactic Acids Glycolic, Pumice & Bisabolol, Reduces Bumps, Strawberry Scent, 2 oz"If you are looking for a normal body scrub, then this will do the trick. I was not overly impressed by this and would not recommend it for inflamed skin or skin with active break-outs. The coarseness of this product is too much. I would prefer a product that has a smoother grit to it. Then it is easier to control just how much scrubbing you can do to get exfoliation. This product had the texture of the apricot scrubs that started the whole exfoliation spree. There are irregular and inconsistent shaped kernels.I used this on my hands and arms to evaluate it, before using on other body parts. I am glad I did, as there is no way I would want to use this on my face. Gentle it is not.For the amount of product compared to its price and the coarseness of the grit, I doubt I will repurchase. Did it exfoliate? Yes. Is it at a good price point? Not in my opinion. I took stars away for the price point vs amount and for the coarseness. Not all products work for everybody.
5.0 out of 5 stars This really works
This works great if you have bumps after shaving your legs. It makes your skin feel super smooth. I don’t know how or why but it works.
4.0 out of 5 stars It helps
At the end of the day this scrub does help with KP, which is what its set out to do. However, I don't know if it helps significantly more than other AHA products or just other KP products in general, and it is very expensive. You can probably get similar results for less, but if cost isn't something that concerns you it is absolutely worth trying!
5.0 out of 5 stars Seems to be helping
I've been using this KP Bump Eraser from First Aid Beauty on my neck and upper chest to try to lessen the appearance of sun damage I have in that area. Since getting sunburned there more than a decade ago, that skin has had a permanent reddish color to it and some small bumps. It's a fairly common form of sun damage for that part of the skin. This product seems to be helping to bring down the redness and bumpiness. This scrub has a nice scent and is very gritty, almost like it has sand in it. I recommend rubbing lightly and letting it do its work as a lot of pressure isn't necessary and could hurt your skin. It's pretty thick and can be hard to squeeze out of the tube, especially when there isn't a lot left. I'll probably cut it open soon to make it easier to get the last of it out because it really wants to hang on in there.
4.0 out of 5 stars Helping kp, one bump at a time
Anyone with KP knows it’s a never ending battle, especially if it is severe. No product cures it, but some help. I actually had a dermatologist recommend First Aid Beauty AHA scrub, but this strawberry kind is new! It is pretty gritty. I don’t think it erases bumps, but that could just be because what I’m dealing with is on the severe end of the spectrum. It definitely helps free some trapped hairs, and release some keratin, but it’s pretty rough and leaves skin feeling a bit tender. It smells fantastic! I think a key to this being a bigger success story is to stay moisturized immediately after using it, as well as being consistent. Once or twice a week can help lessen the amount of bumps, but any more might make some new issues arise. This small bottle is enough to see how your skin is going to react to it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Good scrub for KP
The formula of this scrub is very nice. It is a fine exfoliation, very sand-like. Not sure how much the chemical exfoliants add to the results, but I used this in the shower and then left it on as long as possible before rinsing it off nad was left with very smooth skin. While it didn't immediately solve my KP and strawberry legs, it did leave them super smooth! The scent wasn't very strong, but pleasant. It does come in a sealed tube, which is nice for safety/quality concerns! The tube is very small, and I've used what feels like about half already in two uses. But it would be a good travel size!
KP exfoliated
We took this product on holiday and it was amazing helped keep our tans for longer and left our skin feeling really smooth
Small and show no difference
Saw this on tick toc . Used the whole tub but saw no difference. Very small for £12
Smooths bumpy and rough skin
Whether you have KP or just generally rough or bumpy skin, this is a really good product. The tops of my legs are prone to KP (raised bumpy textured skin) and this helps me keep my skin smooth and even. It has a gritty paste texture and offers both physical and chemical exfoliation which leaves you seeing and feeling the improvement in the first few uses.It has a very subtle strawberry scent. Start off with a small amount and add more if needed. Massaging it onto the skin actively smoothes away bumpy and rough skin, so as well as areas of KP it is good for elbows and knees. The gentle massage action also helps increase blood flow. The gritty particles are quite small but very effective. I don't have sensitive skin but if you do I would use a small amount and take care to be gentle when using as it is, by design, abrasive as that is what makes it so effective. It is, like similar body scrubs, a bit messy, leaving residue in the bath or shower after using but this isn't a major issue.
Effective exfoliating scrub, but it’s a very small amount and residue gets everywhere
The scrub was quite effective even after the first use, I felt that my legs and other affected areas were much smoother to the touch and they felt very clean of dead skin. That’s because there are small sandlike particles that physically exfoliates the skin, so combined with the chemical exfoliants like lactic acid and AHAs, it does a very good job at immediately smoothing skin quality. However, the sand particles don’t dissolve in water and they left residue all over the bathtub and don’t go down the drain but sits and collects at the bottom of the floor. If cleanup is not an issue for you then it wouldn’t matter, but I don’t really want to have to do a deep clean of the tub floor after every use, I wish the particles dissolved in water or at least went down easier. There is a slight smell, but nothing too strong or fragrance-like. A pea sized amount is good for one leg/arm, however I feel like you’d burn through this scrub easily as there’s not much amount. It’s also a little scratchy on the skin due to the physical exfoliation, so if you have super super sensitive skin then it might not work the best.Overall, it’s an effective scrub and my skin definitely feels smoother, so I would recommend!
Effective exfoliator
A little goes a very long way with this stuff, so start small! I was quite impressed with this, and I don't think I've seen another product quite like it. It combines physical and chemical exfoliants, and it seems to use pumice rather than plastic beads or ground almond shells, which is an interesting choice. It smells a lot nicer than it looks (it's grey, which was disconcerting), and it will exfoliate the hell out of your skin. I can definitely feel a difference already. It's a bit tricky to wash off, and the pumice won't dissolve, so you might get some residue in your shower.Definitely don't use it on your face or other areas where the skin is delicate, but if you're looking to attack your chicken skin, it'll do the job
