5.0 out of 5 stars Very versatile and extremely useful
This pack of clips was perfect for our needs. They open and close smoothly, relatively cheap, and hold well. The quality is as expected for the price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy 3-inch Carabiner Clips
These clips look nice and feel well-made and sturdy. I have canopies in my backyard, and I am using them, along with ball bungee cords, to keep the tarp taut. They will also help me hang several string lights. These clips are good-sized, and the 7th picture on their webpage specifies their load-bearing capacity as 500 pounds. I do not have enough weight to test that. What I did was hook one carabiner clip to a medium-duty metal chain, and then I hung this set-up to my pull-up bar. Using packing foam roll, I wrapped a section of the metal chain, then hung on to it for about seven seconds. I did not expect it to break, and it did not. I repeated the test, and the clip was still fine. I carefully examined the clip, and it looked unbent and undistorted. I stopped testing because hanging from that chain hurt my hands. I could hold on to the pull-up bar much longer, but holding on to the wrapped chain was much more difficult. I only weigh 180 lbs., and that medium-sized clip being able to bear my weight was good enough. These 3-inch carabiner clips are very well constructed, so their 500-lb load-bearing capacity claim sounds believable.
5.0 out of 5 stars Small, sturdy and strong -- well made
Legit carabiners rated for heavy duty use! Although these are small, the construction is solid and does feel like it can support my weigh of 155 lbs. I don't actually climb and I would imagine you'd want the variant where with a sliding/screwing locks -- but I got these for camping, to secure tarps/tents and other load bearing applications. My use case won't approach anything towards the upper rated 180 lbs -- but I feel confident it would be able to support that much if needed.Great buy at a great value!
5.0 out of 5 stars Very solid, good value
These carabiners seem to be good quality. They are definitely solid. When they arrived, my husband picked up the package and said, “Your box of lead is here.”On this product page, the manufacturer says they have a 500-pound load limit (the M8 version). At the current price of $36, they’re only 60 cents each, which seems like a good deal for this level of ruggedness.
5.0 out of 5 stars Super strong. Heavy. The Real Thing.
Very, very strong, large carabiners. The real thing for many uses. These are the thickness of a heavy chain, and could be used to connect the ends of chain together. I don't climb so I can't say if these are professional climbing grade or not, but they are very heavy and strong. Should be strong enough for any reasonable use. Now with the package of 25, I'll have enough for years to come.
5.0 out of 5 stars Really solid and completely trustworthy
The media could not be loaded. These carabiners are solid and well made and I have no problem using them when climbing. The carabiners are all of a very high quality and they are really durable and have a good deal of weight to them. I have been climbing for years now , and these are some of the best made and easiest to use carabiners I had ever had the privilege to use. Well worth the money because of the amazing high quality construction!
