4.0 out of 5 stars Big, bulky, sturdy and stabilized.
I needed a phone mount for the rough roads and trails I ride. Something that wouldn't move around and didn't shake my phone to pieces while I'm hitting big bumps on gravel and dirt track. This does the trick! The dampened mount is much better compared to solid mounts I've used in the past. I can actually see my phone screen. However, it's really big and sticks out far. Easy to hit with branches, takes up a lot of room in my cockpit. It'd be nice if the bumpers weren't so big. With my wallet case, it's also quite difficult to use one-handed as advertised as the center engagement zone that closes the sides in on the phone is really hard to engage.
5.0 out of 5 stars Holds position, and my phone, even on bumpy trails
I ordered this to go on an ATV. Drove 20 miles with it on the handlebar at various speeds, and degrees of roughness, including a few small jumps and the phone mount held firm like a champ. It didn't lose position, which was one of my concerns, and it held tight onto my phone. It fit my phone easily, a S24 ultra, and is very easy to open, to release the phone, and close to lock onto the phone. Both can be done with one hand.I would recommend.
4.0 out of 5 stars solid phone mount
To start, I am using this with a bicycle so I can’t say too much about the vibration dampening. It seems to work OK and the rubber ball spacers look like they can make a difference but I really can’t compare with what you would feel on a motorcycle. It also wouldn’t comfortably fit on my gravel bike so I put it onto my ebike—fine, the sizes it fits are noted in the description so double check that it will work for your handlebars. The arms that connect the clamps to the main body are metal, but the body itself and the clamp parts are plastic. I can see some bending when the clamps are tight but nothing I’m concerned about, and the lock at the back is effective. Solid metal one-piece clamp arms would have been nice but also would have cost much more so it’s a fair trade-off.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great fit - and secure!
Excellent fit on my wife's new electric bicycle! Perfect secure phone mount on it. Easy to install and comes with various liners for different diameters of handlebars!
4.0 out of 5 stars Impressed but improvement possible
This is a pretty standard cell phone mount, but well made and with a few specific improvements for motorcycle use.The unit is made of a mixture of metal and plastic, and the plastic feels solid and heavy for its size, but not as much as if the whole unit were metal.Using a ratcheting lock mechanism, it looks like it should be able to clamp your cell phone well, and the ends where it clamps the phone have rubber. The depth of phone possible should fit most modern smartphones, though I tested with a older S8+ and was wishing that the end clamps were also adjustable to make an extremely snug fit.The handlebar mount socket is designed to be unscrewed and then clamped and rescrewed shut and has a slight softer quality to make for a good connection. Then the actual phone holder attaches with the usual ball and socket with a nut as with most cell phone holders. There are 4 isolation pads to reduce vibration which does differ from most mounts
