5.0 out of 5 stars Impressively built.
These shelves are a perfect height and are very attractive. The top is wide enough to be used as a countertop and are not the eyesore some kitchen shelves are. I use them to provide additional storage for my many small appliances. They are easy to assemble and attractive from all sides. One of my smarter purchases. Highly recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and Functional
I bought this table and a similar one without the electrical outlet to extend my countertop space. It is beautiful and is everything I needed it to be. It was very easy to assemble by myself.
5.0 out of 5 stars Kitchen Island
Absolutely love it! Great price too!
4.0 out of 5 stars Decent
Good sturdy skin workspace for the price. Only word of caution would be that when putting the bolts though from the bottom, the instructions are a bit vague and if you use the wrong bolt, it will puncture through the top of your table.
5.0 out of 5 stars Well-built island table for the kitchen, easy to assemble, solid construction
This kitchen-island table is generous-sized and took about 2 hours to unpack and put together. Install took a little time since it's a large piece of furniture, and also a little bulky to assemble, so you may need two people. The table comes with a combo Allen wrench/Phillips screwdriver so you don't need any extra tools. But a cordless drill/screwdriver may come in handy when inserting screws into wooden parts at the last part of the assembly.Pay attention to the orientation of the boards and screwholes, as if you mount a board or shelf the wrong way then you will need to unscrew and reinstall to get the remaining screw holes set in the correct direction (happened to me twice with this assembly). One issue I had was missing parts 9, (or maybe I lost Parts 9), which were two small screws to mount the 3-plug power-strip. But the package came with only one extra screw, and fortunately I had another similar-sized screw I kept from a prior furniture assembly. (Always keep the extra screws from furniture like this as they could be useful is missing parts from future furniture assemblies). Also the table-top had some black scuffs on it, but I was able to use some soap and water and the scuffs fortunately rubbed off, so the tabletop still looks new.The only few things I wish were different: 1) was that the embedded power strip had the power cable sticking out of the face of the strip, instead of coming out the back and down on the second-level table shelf.2) Wish there was a mounting hook for the power cable (for when not in use)3) Wish the powerstrip had a USB port. Most modern power-strips have USB ports, so you can plug in stand-alone personal electronic devices. But those are minor complaints and don't count off my review scoring. So if you could use an island in your kitchen but don't want to spend thousands on building one then this stand-alone kitchen island is a great substitute.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy Island Workspace with Power Strip.
The island stand has a sturdy black powder coat metal frame. The frame is finished well and are plastic protected during shipping. The slatted bottom shelf is also powder coated. The stand sits about 3" off the ground and is a total of 35 1/4" high. There are 4 "feet" that are screwed to the bottom that can be adjusted for level. The top and the middle shelf are an engineered product. They both are 1/2" thick. The top measures 39 1/2" long x 23 3/4" wide. It has rounded edges and has a slight overhang over the frame. The top shelf arrived with plastic protectors on each corner. The second shelf and the bottom slat shelf measure 38 1/4" long by 22 1/2" wide (inclusive of frame). The clearance from the bottom slat shelf to the middle shelf is 15 1/4" and the clearance from the middle shelf to the top is 12 1/2". You have the placement option of putting the power strip on either side of the stand but I have not decided if I want that feature yet. I did test the power strip and it worked fine and has outlets for three prong use. I would have liked the top to be a little thicker, just for aesthetics. The option for the cart to have wheels (locking) would have been nice. I am actually using this for crafting equipment on the top and middle shelf and supplies in baskets on the bottom shelf. The size is excellent and the sturdiness is quite good. It was easy to assemble and you are supplied with a multi tool, all hardware and a bag of extra hardware if you drop or lose a bolt.
5.0 out of 5 stars Just finished building this good-sized kitchen island. Good instructions, too. Power strip is A+
I used to have a rolling tray table as an extension of my kitchen island, but since we completed this today (in a little more than a half hour for one person), I replaced it with this good-looking and good-sized piece. Not overly heavy so you can move it, but I love the addition of the power strip, so you can put it next to your normal island and still use it to plug in additional appliances. Butcher block, oak-colored wooden top, with white metal. It is the same width as my built-in kitchen island, so that gives you some idea about the size. Not puny at all! Also the same height, so you won't have to bend awkwardly to work on this table. My husband and I both looked at it and thought of about a dozen places it could also be useful in the house. He thought of it as a work table (in the garage), I thought it would make a nice kitchen cabinet piece to go with the mini-fridge in the room of my mother-in-law, so she doesn't have to come upstairs to make lunch if she's not feeling up to it. Perfectly suited for a college dorm room, too, with room on top for microwave and coffee maker. Perfect little add-on if you don't have enough cabinetry or places to put your ancillary appliances, air fryer, ice cream maker, etc. Good storage ability. Was also thinking of putting it into the dining room for Thanksgiving so you can use it as a sideboard, putting your serving dishes on it before you bring them to table. Just very practical all around and beautiful with a modern aesthetic. I'm very happy we ordered it! A+ awesome item.
1.0 out of 5 stars The wood panels came broken
The corners of my wood panels arrived broken. Good for space but not the best looking wood — specifically very cheap wood.
