This is a very nice long tablecloth with a silky texture, which means it can easily slip and slide on your table if not weighed down with a lot of delicious food. I used it as a buffet tablecloth for a pot-luck get-together of family and friends with offsetting silver ribbon laid down the middle and crosswise in two places. I made a silver, white, and green centerpiece (using natural greenery in my yard). Napkins were white linen and plates white with silver edging. The black tablecloth looked very elegant in my opinion. I personally would not use this tablecloth at a sit-down dinner, however, where young children were at the same table, because it would be easy to accidentally cause the tablecloth to slip/slide causing spilt milk or worse. After I washed it in the washing machine, I accidentally forgot it in the dryer for a few hours after it had dried. I fully expected it to be a wrinkled mess, but I was pleasantly surprised when it was just fine. Very wrinkle resistant which is a big plus in my household. Of course, the color of this tablecloth makes it a natural to use at Halloween, but it can be dressed up for almost any occasion as I did.
