5.0 out of 5 stars Great Spray Painter for Deck Staining
I was resurfacing our deck using the composite decking, and I wanted to stain the supporting structure solid white, in order to waterproof it, and make it look prettier. It is a good size elevated deck, with seating area underneath it, so even the joists needed to be stained. Needless to say, there is a multitude of balusters, stairs etc. Not something that I wanted to attempt with a brush and roller. I looked around at various available spray painters and decided to use this one. I had no experience beyond using spray cans. Well, after about 10 gallons of water based Behr premium stain I have only good things to say. BTW, although Behr says that airless sprayer should be used, this one worked just fine using the provided 1.8mm tip. The staining was done in about 8 hours total time for two coats. With brush and roller it would have easily taken me a week. I had no issues using it whatsoever. The sprayer is well designed, feels pretty balanced when full of paint, and has plenty of power for pretty thick stain - and no, I did not need to thin it with water. I should point out that the little viscosity measuring tool indicated that thinning was needed (it took about 2 minutes to empty), but I tested it, and the gun was easily able to handle it. The joists (mostly hidden) actually only got one coat, as I went slow and thicker – and they still looked great. The painter is not heavy at all, and is very simple to use. The clean-up is super easy. I don’t know how this compares to expensive professional units costing $500 or more, but for me it did great. I don’t paint every day. One gallon of stain cost me more than the spray gun… go figure. Since then I repainted bunch of outdoor furniture, and it now looks brand new. Honestly, you will not go wrong with this little guy, and I sincerely recommend it.

Great product and great value. We wanted to change color of our sofit, and freshly paint our facial and guttering before new siding. So we purchased this professional sprayer. I found this sprayer to be absolutely amazing product saved us hours and the cost of paying or replacing it. It very easy and works just like professional sprayer and looks great. We get alot of complaints and how much it has changed the looks. It was also very easy to use and clean out with just water. Will be using it for more projects. Highly recommend!
