5.0 out of 5 stars Makes life so much easier when you have a pinched nerve in your back
If you have a hard time bending over due to age, arthritis or a pinched nerve like me this takes all the stress of your joints trying to get socks on. I have small feet so this was plenty big and easy to use for me. It has helped a lot and spared me from bending to far and pulling on a sock and risk getting a jolt of pain. A great tool to have on hand too.
1.0 out of 5 stars A device to help put on socks and shoes
Product broke while I was using it the first time very poor quality
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice tool for assisting with socks and shoes
This is a very nice tool for assisting you with getting your socks and shoes on. The stick is pretty long , so it can reach down to your feet easily without having to bend over too much. My father just had knee surgery and bending over was difficult for him. This tool made it much easier for him to get his socks and shoes on without causing too much stress on his knee. It's a bit awkward to use initially, but once you get the hang of how to control it, it's not too bad. He said it helped him from having to bend over and struggle with his socks and shoes.
3.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy
The device is sturdy, not flimsy and easy enough to put together. It was difficult to use for elderly with mobility issues and low grip strength so would not recommend for those situations.
2.0 out of 5 stars Very awkward
My elderly father just couldn't manage this device so I tested it as did my wife and it's sort of useful as a shoe horn and maybe to pull socks off but putting them on.... not easy. My father ended up getting another product that looks like a shin guard used in soccer with a rope looped through for pulling up socks and it works easily. He'll keep this device in the review for pulling them off and the shoe horn feature. But as a device for pulling up socks.....look elsewhere
5.0 out of 5 stars Handy Tool
This is a nice dual purpose dressing tool. I like the long reach and the stonger aluminum arm with a hook on top. The sock and shoe horn device slides up to the top to allow you to fit the sock on and then slide it down to a snap lock positon to slide your foot in. The shoe horn slips in the back and you don't have to bend over to finish sliding the shoe on. Great tool for more elderly people that can't reach down as far.
1.0 out of 5 stars Oh No
Great idea, bad implementation. No help for my 70-year-old father. I think it made it harder for him to put his socks on.
4.0 out of 5 stars works well for low rise socks and narrow feet
This sock aid device is very useful assuming short socks are worn and the feet are on the narrow side. If you wear over calf socks this will not work effectively unless the socks are very very thin. The width of the donner portion of the device is somewhat narrow. I wear a size 13 or 14 mens shoe and the donner squeezes my feet too much. If your feet are sensitive to pressure and are wide this may not be a good choice.Unlike other sock donners this device also helps getting shoes and socks off via the shoehorn attachment. The listing images, video and descriptions are accurate.
