I am very pleased with this purchase, but some people are confused by the appearance of the unlighted bulb. The image on the listing shows the bulbs lighted and they appear fully orange. When they are off the lower portion of the bulb is orange and the upper portion is white. To avoid negative reviews, the seller should have shown a photo of the bulb when off as some think they have not received what was ordered.

I actually ordered 2 boxes of these for Halloween decorations. Unfortunately, only 2 bulbs from one package worked, and none of the 6 from the 2nd order worked. I was able to find similar lights at Walmart.com and all 6 of those bulbs worked. Maybe it was the difference in packaging that helped protect the bulbs ordered through Walmart.com. Walmart used bubble wrap and Bolo only had the extra space in box stuffed with paper.

Used this for a small 2 gallon beta tank. It fit perfectly. If you decide to use for same purpose, the bulb is a standard candle size but may be too big if the replacing light is of a small size and space may be limited.
