This PARDESI Ground Carom Seeds 7.1 OZ (200g) Ajwain Powder is excellent quality and with enough that it will last a long time, but not so long it gets super old and loses it's potency. It adds a distinctive quality to your recipes that will be missed if you don't have this. The foil seal was strongly in place and everything looked great.

Great stuff for use in making Indian food. Product received in October 2024 has shelf life until May 2027, clearly labeled.Note: I’ve seen warnings agains consumption of this spice by pregnant women…this product isn’t labeled as such, but thought it should be mentioned just in case people are new to the spice.Two sided (shaker and spoon) plastic flip top.

I've gotten other spices from this brand and they're all really great. I'm sure this is fresh because it tasted very pungent. I thought it tasted like listerine. So perhaps like a fennel, but a pungent gritty texture like clove and that deep. But it isn't dessert like as clove is. It's almost minty in a way?The current price is $7.55 for 7.1oz. I will have to look into what I can use this in because I thought I could just add it to curry, but I think it would overpower it.

This ground carom seeds is so very fresh.The color is beautiful.I love the scent and flavor; delicate yet pungent.This will be a wonderful addition to my spices collection for enhancing recipes and using in teas for health benefits as well.The quality is excellent and I like that it will stay fresh, too.I really like it and would recommend it to others!

This carom powder had strong aroma as soon as I opened the seal. It looks and smells great. I tasted some and it was very authentic. I mixed this with some tea. Very spicy and flavorful. Great quality.

The carom seed powder is packed to the top of the bottle. The scent and flavor is a distinctive and complex blend of earthy, herbal, warm, and slightly peppercorn spicy. This is a very good spice, but I would suggest using it lightly to avoid becoming overwhelming.

Ground carom or ajwain is the type of spice where just a little bit is enough. We don't cook a lot of Indian food in our kitchen, but use this along with turmeric for seasoning some Middle Eastern kebabs and make them more savory. Hence, the 200 grams you get in this bottle will last us for quite a long time.The spice itself was well grounded and smelled fresh when opened. It's a very bitter type of spice and when used other than seasoning meat, mixing it with some melting butter will allow for smoother addition to dishes.If your recipe calls for carom seeds, this one is a great option.

The spice is extremely fine ground and I did not see any inconsistency or clumping. I did notice some staining on the inside of the cap that leads me to think they could improve the post packing cleanliness of the factory. The foil seal was in tact.I took off 1 star for that.The spice itself is very powerful and if you like the flavor you will not be disappointed.
