5.0 out of 5 stars Best hair tool ever
This hair tool is expensive but worth the money!! It’s definitely a little noisy but it does the job quickly. I am able to dry and straighten my hair at the same time, this saves me so much time. I am also using so much less heat on my hair. I used to straighten my hair at 345 and who knows how hot my hair dryer was now I only use this tool at 285. So much better for my hair.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing
I have fine naturally curly hair. I've heard all my life how "lucky" I am. There are days I embrace my curls and days I curse my curls. Like many out there I rely on a blow dryer (heat) and a flat iron (more heat) to achieve a sort of style on the days I don't like my hair.I recently chopped off 13" of hair for a donation to a non-profit, and my hair and I are kind of trying to figure out what we have now. My new do just barely touches my shoulders, so it is not long, not super short.I have no idea what possessed me to fork out $400 for a hair dryer...but after reading the reviews on Bolo I threw caution to the wind and bought one. While I waited for this investment to arrive I busied myself with watching dozens of YouTube on how these work.By the time it arrived, my anticipation level was off the charts and I could hardly wait to wash my hair and use this thing. The videos were so helpful, that I was comfortable with operating it right off. There is a learning curve for sure...this looks like a flat iron and after years of using one, it's like second nature, but this is not a flat iron. It's a weird hair dryer. You have to reposition the device to go in the direction of the air flow. One thing I did not consider, but it totally isn't an issue for some reason, is this does not reach your roots. I was concerned I would have straight hair from two inches out and weird wavy stuff at my scalp. That for some reason is not the case. I use just the air and kind of dry the roots in sections as I go.Results: Oh my goodness! It does exactly was it says it will do. I was 'blown away' by the results. Like shocked almost. I kept waiting for something to go wrong, but my hair just stayed straight and well behaved. I used a heat spray by Pura d'or and also have a backup Rusk serum to try next. Honestly, I've never seen anything like this contraption. The only downside, and it's not really a downside, just a comment, this leaves your hair straight. Super straight. You are not able to put a bend or curve if you are looking for that. I suppose you can use a flat iron, but that sort of defeats the purpose of having something that Dyson touts as being kinder to your hair.Overall, I am surprised at myself for spending an obscene amount of money for a hair dryer, but I am equally surprised at how this really does do what it says it does. Welcome to my hair ritual, Dyson.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressive! One of a kind.
I’ve been looking for ways to improve the time it takes to dry and straighten my wife’s hair and I finally found it. It takes less than half the time and hair dyed hair comes out beautiful and it seems like no damage at all. This straightening device is a true wet/dry product. They aren’t lying to you like a lot of others claim to. It’s expensive but when you use it you’ll know where the $500 went. In my opinion, it’s the best money can buy. I’ll be using it for years and probably throw away the hair dryers because I feel like I don’t need them anymore with this. Thank you, Dyson!
5.0 out of 5 stars Works with C3 / C4 hair
I wasn't sure, when I bought this if it would work for my wife's hair or not. I thought I'd end up sending it back, but wanted her to try it and see. Turns out she loves it. I've not seen her as happy about a hair straightener. She experimented quite a bit with over the Mother's Day week and found that like any flat iron or heat plate straightener, the product you use in your hair with it, makes a huge difference. With the right product The Airstrait does a fantastic job. Even by itself, it leaves her hair smooth and silky with great movement. With the proper product, she found it removed all texture from her hair and left it with good movement and perfectly straight.Bottom line - I'm not returning it - she loves it.It saves a whole step of not having to do a blow-out first before the flat iron. It goes from wet hair to straight hair with a couple of passes and use with the right product for heat protection and moisture. It takes at least 30 minutes less time to get the same or superior results on her C3 hair.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great straightener but has it's pros and cons
Pros:love the way its straightensvery fast and efficientuse wet or dryConsA bit heavythe box on the cord, that I assume gives it the power, is clunky and awkwardnot good for travel-too big and heavyif you travel abroad the voltage it requires is not compatible with an adapterI have shorter bangs and still need to use a 1 inch straightener for them
5.0 out of 5 stars So worth the money
This is definitely a pricey hairdryer but I am obsessed. I have easily damaged hair and have been refraining from using hot tools other than this blow dryer and my hair is definitely getting healthier. I don’t have to straighten it anymore because it looks styled this hairdryer. I also like that you can blow it dry on low heat, 195° And your hair looks really great without the damage. I am a fan for life .
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use, I like it very much
It can be used when the hair is wet, which is very convenient. The hair is straightened when it is dry.
