5.0 out of 5 stars Game changer
This product works perfectly whenever I’m reviewing Products and need an overview shot.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very sturdy and stable
I'm using it to hold my Sony ZVE10 camera and it is totally stable and stays in place. Zero drift or sag. Has a long reach.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great table mount for the price
This is my first smallrig product. I've been out of the photography/videography scene for several years now but have recently heard great things about this company.First off, this thing feels solidly built. It used to be China designed photography products were mostly a miss in quality besides a few and it's great to see another quality company is in the market. There are pretty much 5 points of adjustability plus 2 mounting points (camera and table). 2 of the adjustments are done on the vertical arm and 1 on the horizontal arm, allowing various height and stability adjustments. Another point is the horizontal bar allowing an extended reach and the last is the small (removable) ballhead. You can replace the ball head with a different 1/4" mount if you'd like. The included ballhead also attached to 1/4" accessories and it comes with a phone holder that has 2x 1/4" screw holes for mounting. The phone holder also has a hot shoe mount to attach other accessories. My only minor complaint is that the c stand only has rubber grips on the top end. I wish it also had it on the bottom as well.Overall I think this is a great product for the money. It allows many versatile adjustments and it looks professional.
5.0 out of 5 stars Solid and versitile
Like all of my other reviews for SmallRig products, I have to first say, that I am a fanboy of SmallRig. They make good, semi-pro-level equipment for those of us who need good gear at a semi-pro-level price point. Most every product that I review is excellent and this desk mount is no exception. I had been using a cobbled-together set of pieces to create a cantilevered camera mount over my desk for video conference calls but its flexibility was limited. Although I used it for a couple of years, I needed a more robust and versatile mount - this SmallRiog mount is the perfect solution.Fit & Finish:As always, SmallRig puts out gear that is well sorted both in fit and finish. The materials are great, work well together, and seem to have been well-vetted before releasing to the consumer.Function:Through my rose-colored lenses, the function is perfect. The mount does exactly what it's supposed to and does it well. Although I'm not putting it through the wringer with a ton of weight, it's obvious that if called upon to support a bigger camera with larger lenses, it won't have any issues.Overall, it's a great piece of gear for tabletop work. If my opinion changes in the future, I'll be sure to come back and update my review. With that said, I don't anticipate being disappointed in the future by this mount since it's already proven itself in my daily use of it.
3.0 out of 5 stars It's ok
Beware of your camera weight and the limits of this mount. It was also not quite as flexible as I needed to mount so I could use as a webcam. I think if you have a lightweight camera and the space for this type of configuration, it would work well for you. Just didn't meet my specific needs.
5.0 out of 5 stars Solid!
I've used some similar overhead filming setups before, but this one is this most stable that I've tried. The diagonal mount helps make this very solid for over head shots. The ball head might be a little weak for some larger setups, but holds phones or smaller mirrorless set ups with no issue.Easy to use and adjust. Base clamp opens wide too, so it should fit pretty much any desk.Build quality is nice as well.A really nice product for anyone looking at doing some overhead filming.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Lighter Weight Cameras
I have tried this mount with a couple different point and shoot, action, and DSLR cameras and it works fine. The largest camera I tried was about 2.5 pounds. The weight capacity is listed at 3 kg which I believe is about 6.5 pounds. I don’t think I would trust it to hold much more than what I tried (2.5 lbs.). For action cameras and small point and shoots, it was great. My biggest hang up with putting on a larger camera was in the table clamp and the ball head mount. With more weight, I felt like I had to keep checking the table clamp to make certain it wasn’t slipping under the stress. I also felt like the ball mount was undersized for larger cameras. I will continue to use the mount for lighter cameras. It is built nice for the smaller cameras and easily holds them. It is mainly made of metal and the knobs are a good plastic. The horizontal bar uses a turn tightener. This is a great mount for top down shots. I knocked off a star because I don’t feel safe using heavier cameras.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressed with this rig's versatility
To be honest I didn't have high hopes for this rig, but it has blown my expectations away. The different configurations that can be had with it are almost limitless and it was fairly easy to figure out and set up. I had my Canon R6 and 35mm lens suspended overhead with no issues.I especially enjoy that the C clamp can be opened so wide--almost 3 inches! With the different support arms I was able to perfect adjust my camera to get some flat lay shots. Finally I was just impressed with the materials. Obviously there are plastic parts but for the most part the rig is composed of sturdy metal.
Stable
Holds full frame DSLR and 24-70 lens at extension.
Stable Camera Desk Mount
This is just what I needed for product photography for my small business, it clamps to our 4cm thick desks with no issues and I attached my Huawei mobile in the phone clamp, which held it securely. The triangular design gives it extra support, so it was very stable even though it was across the middle of the table. It is versatile, as you can change the angle without destabilising the arm.Include in the box is: Velcro Cable Tie x 10, Phone Clamp x 1, Ball Head x 1, Triangular Desktop Photography Support Bracket x 1.Very good quality for the money, I would recommend.
Very stable, can hold Fujifilm mirrorless without an issue, space saving alternative to a copy stand
To scan film negatives by shooting them with my camera placed on a lightbox I have an old copy stand from the analogue photography times. The stability is great, but it's huge and heavy. This triangular stand is a perfect alternative that I can mount to my table or secondary table, and just place lightbox below and start scanning. When tested, it had no issues holding Fujifilm X-E3 + adapted Nikkor 50/3.5 macro lens. The only tricky part, compared to a copy stand, is how to make the camera perfectly parallel to the lightbox — there are many tricks how to do so, and once you do it, you have to screw everything super strong to keep it that way, and ideally leave this camera arm in its place until next shooting. What helps is that all the tightening knobs have a "handle" that makes it easy to tight it strong, and the entire arm can be rotated to a different direction so it won't interfere with your working surface. It can be also nicely collapsed when not in use. There's also my only complain, and that's about missing carrying case/pouch... it'd be a nice addition, not really for use on the move, but rather for better protection while in storage. But you can still use the box it came in... it's just that a case would be nicer. I love Smallrig products, only very rarely they disappoint, and this one is another great product by the brand; definitely recommended.
No es muy estable
The media could not be loaded. Por el precio que tiene me esperaba más estabilidad, no lo recomiendo si se necesita estabilidad. No entiendo por qué han puesto una base tan pequeña y con partes de plástico para un brazo tan pesado...
solid build with a good range of movement
SMALLRIG Triangle Camera Desk Mount, Max. Load 3kg/ 6.6lbs, Overhead Camera Mount with Auxiliary Support Rod, Tripod with Phone Holder and Small Ball Head for Camera/Phone/Light/WebCam - 4304My daughter has just returned from travelling abroad for the past couple of years and as you can imagine she has taken a 'couple' of photographs. She got very excited when seeing this Smallrig camera desk mount as it fits in very well her future plans. The unit comes in a long square box with a protective inner cardboard sleeve to keep it secure. She says its fairly easy to assemble, although found the online photo instructions a little lacking in explanation. It seems extremely easy to use and adjust the length and height of the mount and her Apple 13 phone fit very snuggly in the holder once she had removed the case. The table mount is secure now it is in place on her glass / metal desk with a very good grip. There is a very good amount of reach over the whole of her large desk. She likes that it does not take up too much desk space when not in use and folds up neatly. Very happy to recommend.
