3.0 out of 5 stars stays in place and no irritation
I recently received the Depology Serum-Infused Micro Dart Patches for Wrinkles and Fine Lines, which are designed to hydrate and target specific areas with peptides, amino acids, and synthesized molecules. I wore them overnight on different areas of my face, particularly where I have the most wrinkles and fine lines. In the morning, I didn’t notice any dramatic elimination of wrinkles, but there was a slight softening of the fine lines. The patches do provide hydration, so it’s possible that more consistent use is needed to see significant results. I’ve used other Depology products before and have generally been satisfied, but given the price point of these patches, I was hoping for a more noticeable difference after just one application. That being said, they don’t advertise as being instant in their effects, so perhaps with continued use, they’ll make a more substantial impact on my skin’s appearance. I experienced no irritation, which is always a concern with new skincare products, especially since I have sensitive skin. The patches were comfortable to wear, and they stayed in place throughout the night without peeling off. While I’m not yet convinced of their effectiveness in reducing wrinkles, I’m willing to give them more time and see if repeated applications lead to better results. For now, I’d say they offer some hydration and a slight improvement in the appearance of fine lines, but I’m cautiously optimistic that more consistent use might yield more noticeable benefits. Given the quality of other Depology products I’ve tried, I’m hopeful that these patches will eventually live up to their promise, even if it takes a bit longer than I initially expected.
4.0 out of 5 stars Quality Product, Effectiveness TBD
The product itself is good quality overall. You can tell the pouches, printing, trays they come on, and patches are all produced with care and details thought through.I was curious about these "micro darts" and how small or sharp or noticeable they may be. They're certainly visible and exist on the patches if you look closely. When you put the patch on you can slightly feel them but it's not sharp or scratchy like i expected.I was a little disappointed to read there's 4 per pouch. I was originally looking to just wear two under my eyes and seeing there were four took me a while to try them because i wasn't sure if they would dry out or not and so I waited till my roommate wanted to try some too so we don't waste them. I think they'd be fine not drying out because of the plastic tray they are stuck to, but TBD.Overall effectiveness? Not sure. These kinds of things always are questionable and also take a lot of use to actually see a difference. It's nice to feel i'm using something and trying at least.
2.0 out of 5 stars Too small to do anything
These patches are extremely small, smaller than the listing's photos make it look. I placed a patch under my eye and it's not even the width of an eye, so I placed a second one at the outer corners. Even still they don't cover an entire eye area, so if it gives any benefits, it's not going to the entire area. When I use the gel patches made for undereyes, my eyes look bright and hydrated, but after this.....literally nothing. At more than $2 per patch and nearly $10 for one treatment, you'd think it would do something. Cannot recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Overnight moisturizing mask for your eyes
At 30, my main focus is keeping my skin hydrated and reducing puffiness, especially in the mornings. I was pleasantly surprised that these stayed on overnight. While they didn’t instantly reduce puffiness, they definitely kept my skin soft and hydrated through the night. I found they worked best when applied after toner but before moisturizer, gently pressing them into the skin. I also love the ingredients included in these patches, a lot of good stuff that isn't irritating.
3.0 out of 5 stars I can't really see that these do any good
The patches are really small and they are quite sticky. I put them on and wore them overnight, but then found I had to really pull at my skin to peel them off in the morning. I don't think they were effective and I'm not sure why they're so tiny.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good for Targeted Treatments
These patches arrived well-packaged and were easy to apply. They stay in place nicely, and I appreciate the hydrating ingredients that left my skin feeling refreshed..Cons: The patches are quite small, so they’re really best for spot treatments like crow’s feet, "elevens," or other small areas. If you're hoping to use them on larger areas like your forehead or smile lines, you’d need to use more than one patch, which could get expensive over time. Plus, it feels less convenient than just using a high-quality serum that you can apply across your entire face.Time will tell how well these work (I'll try to remember to update after a few months), but overall these might be a good option for targeted treatments, but for broader use, I’d recommend investing in a high-end serum.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not seeing any difference
I have not seen any difference or benefits from using these patches yet. It's possible that you might need to use this for a few months to start seeing any benefits, but at this price point, I would expect to see something, and I would expect to see it sooner rather than later. They either need to put more patches in the boxes, or they need to reduce the price. This is not something I would be willing to purchase again.
