5.0 out of 5 stars This is some very sexy stuff right here
I get funny sometimes and want stainless plumbing parts for certain things. I know Chinese stainless can be garbage so I'm very leery. But I've used this Taisher brand before just rolling the dice with stuff off Bolo here and it seemed like surprisingly good quality stuff. I think last time I got some stainless reducers for the fittings on my tankless hot water heater. And they were very nice. Looked like stuff that belonged on lab equipment rather than plumbing. And these nipples were very sharp as well. Machined very clean. I'm pretty sure I used one of these as a riser for a pressure gauge and maybe the pressure switch also. That house has rusty well water and was trying to raise the gauge and switch up off the line a bit hoping it reduces the amount of sediment that find it's way up in them. Anyway, looked nice and worked out well. Oh, and no issues with the tread sizes or anything either. That's another concern with foreign stuff. If it wasn't NPT it was close enough that it mated up and didn't leak with no more bother than a standard amount of teflon tape..
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality stainless product
1 quarter inch stainless steel nipple was good quality, however the threaded portion was machined slightly undersize.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!
Perfect fit for the project I was working on and came quickly!
5.0 out of 5 stars Good small short pipe for limited space
I needed a short piece of conduit to connect two light fixtures. The hole for the connectors was too small to use standard connectors so I decided to use this pipe with 1/4" NPT nuts. When I went to install the pipe, I discovered that I did not need to use any nuts. I was able to screw the pipes directly into the plastic fixture openings without using any nuts. This was the best possible solution for my problem.
4.0 out of 5 stars Last forever but difficult to seal threads without special techniques
Sealing stainless steel threaded fittings can be sealed with different techniques than any other pipe material. Successful seals can be made over 90% of the time using a nickel pipe-seal compound (Rectorseal 23631 Pipe Thread Sealant is on Bolo) along with nickel infused PTFE (Teflon) tape (Gasoila SA26 Nickel PTFE Tape Roll is available on Bolo). These fittings have little to no thread taper by design and require special techniques to produce a leak-free seal at the threads. Normal white Teflon tape is not likely to make a decent seal, even with 12 layers of wrapping on the threads. The heavier blue Teflon tape is better but may not seal 50% of the time using 10-layers of wrap.Stainless Steel Pipes have major differences from brass, iron/steel, copper, PVC, and PEX. These stainless-steel fittings are exceptionally strong, likely to last over 50 years ( probably much longer), and resist corrosion from most compounds such as beer, alcohol, and salt water.Stainless Steel threaded joints can “gall” when those threaded joints are tightened – similar to mini-welds. Galling can make removal difficult to impossible while producing permanent slow leaks. Galling is sufficiently common so stainless-steel threaded-pipe manufacturers tend to reduce to eliminate taper of the threads and complaints from customers.
5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed
Needed to put a tee on my car so that I would have both the idiot light and a mechanical gauge for coolant temperature. However, I needed to bring the tee above the heater hose fitting on the engine block, this was the perfect solution to connect the tee.
1.0 out of 5 stars deep threads
the product looks fine. The threads were way deep and would not tighten until meeting the hub of the fitting it was going into by hand. Needless to say I did not even attempt to use th as I bought 4 of them. I have threaded hundreds of nipples and pipes and would never use threads this deep. They will never seal
5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT
EXCELLENT TODO CORRECTO
Niple de inoxidable
Quedaron muy bien y me llego en tiempo y forma gracias
Just what I needed
Very hard to find part. My local Hydronic and Plumbing suppliers could not even figure out what I needed let alone trying to order it for me. This is a much cleaner assembly than using pipe nipples and coupling to assemble this. Sure it would have worked but that would have resulted in an additional joint (more chance for a leak). Always design your systems to have the least amount of connections for reliability.
diameter of thread
Thread is half inch, not quarter of an inch. Ordered twice, received half inch both times. Emailed Taisher, they sent a picture without any reference to what part of the nipple is one quarter of an inch.
Threads cut properly and correct length, perfect.
Used to with a Street Elbow to extend air compressor condensate outlet that replaced a useless pull cord valve.
Muy buen material
Muy buen material y de buena calidad.Lo instalé en el baño y quedó perfectamente y para siempre.
