5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely Worth The Price

I've had this product for 4-5 years and I'm only leaving this review because after owning it for that long, the sub finally went out and I want to replace it. After DAILY use at modest to loud levels, this thing has definitely been worth the money. The lights still work on ALL of the speakers and even though the sub "went out", as you can see in the picture, it still works! The sound is still clean but just no bass. I'm glad that they still sell the same model because I'm buying it for a second time.

5.0 out of 5 stars This thing is 100% and more worth the price.

I started searching for a budget system for about a month before pulling the trigger on this. My wife had me on a pretty strict sub $300 budget and I wanted something that would rock the House (good luck with that I was thinking).I've had the system for about two months now and it continues to impress me with it raw power and great sound!!Seriously, I haven't tried everything in this price range obviously but I can't imagine that there is another system available as good as this one.I was mostly worried that the 8 inch subwoofer was going to be under powered and not produce the bass I was wanting, let's say I'm amazed at what this 8 inch subwoofer can produce. After playing around with it for a while, I've come to the conclusion that the best input is by far ARC for quality and just leaving subwoofer and all speakers set to zero is about as perfect as it gets. I've listen to multiple different types of music with this set up and they all sound really good. I was thinking that the claim of 20 Hz to 20 kHz was likely going to be false but as far as I can tell, it's hitting all of the Rangers quite beautifully.I was really torn between this and a sound bar that offered Atmos, so glad I went with this one🤗In conclusion, I highly recommend this system.

4.0 out of 5 stars Speaker wires not removable from spears

    E.C. · November 19, 2024

Haven’t got it all hooked up yet but putting this stereo in a new build and wanted to pre run the speaker wires before drywall was done but this is not possible as the wires are attached to the speakers and don’t come off so going to have to pull the wire through the walls after the the build is done and not sure how that’s gonna go. Looks like a good unit and I will update this after installing it12/10/2024 update:The system sounds great, very loud and the bass is strong but sometimes with certain songs it kinda vibrates but that will happen with any bass. This system is well worth the money, I may even buy another one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the price

TLDR: If you have a couple hundred bucks and want a starter-level home theater system that will help you figure out what you want in a future, high-quality theater system, definitely pick this up. Buy a DAC to go with it, too. Throw the whole thing in a man-cave after it's outlived its usefulness.Nice system for the price, but it belongs in a man-cave or office, not as a real theater setup like I intended it for in the living room. I expected this going in, based on other reviews, so I have no regrets about this purchase. I bought it because I have never had a theater system, and have never been to someone's house that had one, so this was my first experience with using anything related to "surround sound" and I wanted to use this as a learning experience.Pros:It's loud. Very loud. So loud that I'm sure my neighbors knew when I had installed it. Simple to setup. Pretty straightforward to use. Great for watching TV and most movies (more on this soon).Cons:The fidelity of the speakers is not amazing, which is what I expected for the price and why I would not use this system to listen to music. The lack of fidelity is very noticeable on music, but I would say hardly noticeable (if at all) when watching most movies/TV. The primary drawback, for me, was its inability to decode digital 5.1 signal, and why I say MOST movies/TV. It will ACCEPT digital signal through SPDIF, but can only read PCM encoding (which carries 2.1 instead of 5.1). It cannot decode actual surround sound signal. It can only decode left, right, and subwoofer (the 2.1 signal), and this is a best-guess scenario when the audio is downgraded from 5.1/7.1 to 2.1. So most of the time it's fine, but some soundtracks end up very... odd. Like for Justice League, the music was extremely quiet most of the time, while dialogue, explosions, and everything else sounded great. Still watchable, but very jarring.RECCOMENDED TO GO WITH IT:I bought a $40 DAC (digital audio convertor) to decode the SPDIF 5.1 channels to 6 RCA plugs, and plugged those into the theater system. Real 5.1 surround sound achieved. Jank workaround, but everything sounds SO much nicer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Under Warranty

    S.E. · August 8, 2023

I bought this product for just under $200 after taxes. And delivered on time. It sounded amazing for the first four months. Then it started to crackle and pop. At 50% Bluetooth output, and at 50% master volume it would crackle and pop so bad I would have to turn the unit off. Contacted customer service and he told me that you cannot play the Bluetooth audio more than 80% and the master volume at 80%.I explained that the issue occurred well below that volume, and we never ran the unit at 100%. Literally we never ran the unit at 100%. Also it should not be that big of an issue for a brand new unit if someone did run it at full blast….why manufacture it to blow itself up at high volumes….no warnings about full volume damage or anything. I read the manual.I got the answer of after year one year warranty runs out they do not fix the unit anymore and you cannot extend the warranty. So if you have major issues with the unit you might as well throw it away and buy another one.Or go ahead and choose another company, if I would go back I would probably buy the three-year warranty for a ridiculous amount of money, and also cost me $15 to ship it to them, with their shipping label. It should be free. Or go with another company. I’m not trying to bash anybody but we use the stereo for four months, then I had major problems, I just sent it off last week because I could not afford the $15 shipping label as I am broke. I had to save up to 200 bucks to buy the stereo in the first place…..

    Awesome sound

    S. · September 28, 2024

Showed up early, packaged was great.Hooking up the system was very easy. Plug and play, that easy. I also got wall mounts for the speakers and they work great with it.The surround is great in my rec room. It was easy to adjust each speaker to the level I wanted and now my rec room sounds like a sports bar.

    Awesome stereo

    Horrible Customer Service For Problems

    A.C. · November 11, 2024

I purchased this surround sound system approx.4 months ago. Cost me approx. $400.00 all said and done. Sounded good when I set it all up hiding all the wires and positioning in my man cave. Use it once a week for an hour and a half concert video. The rest of the use is for regular TV. Right off the get go, I noticed one of the speakers did not light up like the others. The sound worked and it was a rear speaker so I didn't care that much. I did however feel like I should have everything working. I contacted the seller and they gave me two options, accept $10.00 refund or send the whole thing back for full refund. Doesn't makes sense to me as they would cover the cost of shipping and I'm sure it would have been more than $10.00. I decided to live with it. Fast forward four months later and the other right rear speaker must have blown as all it does is spit out static and scratching. I contacted them again regarding this and they basically told me too bad, past three months and can't return. This is horrible and a waste of my money. I will also be contacting Bolo regarding this.
