5.0 out of 5 stars Finally found a good one!
Been through a few wireless mnk to use my pc from the couch, the others kept disconnecting on me and this has been solid. The keyboard is beefy and premium so it doesn't flop around on my lap when typing. The red switches are nice and doesn't give me those high pitched clicky sounds that so many people like. The mouse has good connection and is not a pain doing what mouses have to do.its way better that what i had to put up for recently. and i think is a good value.Only downside is the mouse doesn't have thumb buttons.Other than that. Solid...
4.0 out of 5 stars Comfy hand placement
I love the clackity clack noise, and the high position keys, love the keyboard!
5.0 out of 5 stars Chunky vintage looking keyboard
If you like bulky and heavy keyboard with loud keys, this is perfect. The keyboard is compact and like another reviewer i find the keys to be pretty close to each other. Or maybe the keys need to be more scalloped. It uses 2 aaa’s and the mouse uses 1 aa.The mouse is another story. It feels really light, which makes it feel cheap. It is responsive but when it idles you have to press one of the buttons to “wake” it up.Overall i would recommend this keyboard (but not the mouse). Great for wfh use but maybe too loud for in office where cubes are in close proximity
2.0 out of 5 stars Mouse doesn’t work properly
I love the color but the mouse is giving me issues. The keyboard is soft but with this you can easily accidentally click the wrong key.

This one is confusing me in many ways. I'll start by saying that I've never owned a DarkFlash product before, but their computer cases look pretty cool. I figured they'd make a solid mechanical keyboard and mouse, but I'm confused with this set. Everything that looks good also has a opposite side to it. The good thing is it's under $40 and could be a decent gateway to the mechanical keyboard world. At first look, the DarkFlash keyboard has some weight to it. It surprised me for a budget keyboard that doesn't have a rechargeable battery. While the weight can be a sign of quality, the feel and keys feel very budget. I tend to like the red linear switches, but this case and keys are very loud and clacky sounding. Almost defeats the purpose of a red linear switch. The feel and sound is what disappoints me the most.I can't even tell you what brand of switches they are. Also, be prepared to take out 16 screws and 106 keycaps if you plan on modifying this keyboard. My next few points are not necessarily negatives but could add to the appeal to the DarkFlash keyboard. This keyboard does not include backlighting or RGB. That alone could draw a lot of attention to any keyboard. With that being said, my Akko daily driver has not RGB. The switches are not hot swappable. The keyboard is not rechargeable or had the capability to run a USB cable in case your battery dies. The rise of the keyboard is not adjustable. You get what you get. Of course if you add all of these features and you'll get a keyboard and mouse combo that cost twice as much.Sorry, if this is coming across all negative, but I was so impressed with the build quality when I unboxed this set, but everything after was pretty disappointing.Ok, the good...the DarkFlash mechanical keyboard and mouse combo is under $40. Enough said. JK! It uses 2.4GHz connectivity which generally means that you'll have a quicker response vs Bluetooth. BT improving with every iteration though. The keyboard case if very hollow and have a lot of room for modifications. I'm haven't gotten into that world myself, but I may start with this keyboard since it does have some potential. The lack of a rechargeable battery can actually be a positive. You can just pop in a fresh pair of AAA batteries and you're back in business. Speaking of batteries, DarkFlash included a single AA battery for the mouse and a set of AAA batteries for the keyboard.Personally, I felt a little deceived when I first unboxed this combo set to when I actually started to use it. This set does have some promise though and I would recommend this to someone looking to get into mechanical keyboards without breaking the bank. It even comes with a mouse. Should I try my first mod with this DarkFlash keyboard? We'll see. If I do, I'll definitely update this review.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great so far
I got these for my husband. He likes the way the keyboard looks, the labels on the keys look retro and appealing. He likes the feel and the sound--he does not think the keys were too loud. The mouse and keyboard are successfully connected from the one dongle. The mouse is good too. He has no problems or concerns to report at this point--5 stars and will update if this changes in the future.
4.0 out of 5 stars Coming from a membrane keyboard, this is great
I feel like I am very much the target audience for this set - I've always used cheap membrane keyboards but have been thinking about upgrading for a while. This kit doesn't have a ton of features vs. a lot of fancier mechanical keyboards, BUT that is very much reflected in the price. To me, the typing feel and sound are both fantastic. Very satisfying sounds! I would prefer rechargeable batteries, but so far so good with the replaceable battery life. I do wish they had used AA's for both items, there is definitely room in the keyboard for the larger batteries and that would have given a longer life, too The keyboard is much heavier than i anticipated, feels very solid and stable on my desk. The mouse feels pretty good, nothing special there but it's nice that they connect through a single dongle.
