3.0 out of 5 stars Ok
My dogs are not the biggest fan of the hair dryer I use to dry them (too loud) after giving them a bath, so I was on the lookout for an alternative when I came across this 2-in-1 dryer & brush. For reference, I have a long haired chihuahua-terrier mix, and a short but stiff haired terrier mix. The dogs took really well to the dryer brush as it is exponentially quieter which has made bath time more relaxing for them; however, it does take longer to get them completely dry - I guess you win some, you lose some in that scenario. The brush makes it easy to remove excess fur that accumulates around the bristles. The overall feel of the item is not very sturdy, and does make it feel somewhat cheap. There are three heat settings that can be switched between which is nice especially when dealing with different types of fur. Not sure if I would pay full price for it. I do appreciate the concept though - I just wish it were a little more effective.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Grooming Tool!
The media could not be loaded. This is a great 2-in-1 blow dryer brush! The brush bristles are soft with protective ends, it’s fairly lightweight so it’s easy to maneuver, and the button on the back of the brush that pushes all the hair out of and off of the bristles is a great help, making clean up easier! It has 3 settings; the first is high without warm air (just regular air), the second is low with warm air, and the third is high with warm air. It’s fairly quiet considering it’s a blow dryer of sorts, which is great for pets who are sensitive to loud noise. It does have to stay plugged in in order to use it, it’s not a chargeable item, but the chord is fairly long. Great tool for brushing your dog after a bath!
1.0 out of 5 stars Pricey
Way over priced for the quality and functionality of it.Has a very cheap feel to it and not powerful enough to blow dry a dog with long hair in a timely manner. It would take over an hour to dry my Aussie with this and after 15/20 minutes of brushing and drying him with my powerful blow dryer he has had enough so his legs and behind and under his ears are still wet. With this dryer I might be able to do the top of his head.It might be good for Chihuahua but not a dog with a lot of hair.I would shop around
2.0 out of 5 stars Slicker brush great, blow dryer, not so much
The slicker brush part of this works great with the button to easily get the hair off and dispose of it. The heated blower part isnt any hotter than my breath. Trying to dry an aussiedoodle was useless, a towel would have tried him so much faster than trying to use this thing. it does not get hot enough to even remotely dry a dog.
3.0 out of 5 stars Great for short hair dogs or cats
I have a seven-month-old, full, fluffy Merle French bulldog puppy. Previously, I was using my personal T3 round blow dryer brush, which is very similar to this brush and product. The nice thing about this is that it has some flexible bristles to brush her shorter hair while allowing the light heat from the blow dryer to dry at the same time. The reason for removing a couple of stars is that it can be a little startling due to the noise, but my puppy got used to it fairly quickly. Another issue is the design of the attachment head, which makes it hard to brush in between her legs and the curves of her body. You can remove the attachment brush and just use the nozzle as a blow dryer, which I do while using a comb to get in between the harder-to-reach spots. It’s easy to use and has different heat and fan speed settings. Even on the highest settings, it will not burn your dog or cat. I even placed my hand up to it to make sure it was not hot before using it, and it didn’t bother me one bit.
5.0 out of 5 stars Seems like a useful appliance
I have not yet tested this on a freshly bathed dog. However, I can say off the bat that the brush is very nice for my shedding, short-haired dog. It removed a fair amount of undercoat, and I like that it's easier to clean the hair off than with a usual brush. The dryer has a very low air flow, so I'm not sure how well it will work for drying, even at it's highest heat, but it should at least help. And it's very quiet. Strangely, my usually noise-sensitive dog doesn't mind my human hair dryer, but I do end up with loose undercoat blowing all over the place when I use it, so I hope the lower air flow and the brush will make the next bath time a little less messy. My only concern is that the brush might feel a little rough on his skin when he's wet. I'll update this review when I actually try it out after a bath, but I'm very pleased with it so far.
4.0 out of 5 stars It's pretty good
I like this product it's very helpful after a groom. It definitely works better in dogs with long hate but it works fast and it's good quality.
3.0 out of 5 stars Works but Overpriced
This blower has low air flow even on high, I guess that's a good thing for dog but it takes a long time to dry and by the time my dog has had enough he's not fully dry. The product itself is not very durable and the feel is pretty cheap of the price of $30. I tried it once and put it away will continue to use my hair blow dryer for my dog.
