First of all this was very well packed. Four layers of boxes. It arrived in perfect condition, no chips or cracks. According to included literature, the same brand also sells a line of stainless steel cookware.There are three layers of enamel glaze on the outside, the cast iron, and three layers of enamel on the inside. "Enamel" in the context of cast iron cookware (but maybe not "enamel glaze" on the outside) I believe is actually a glass coating. It seems like my other enameled dutch oven which is wider and flatter, and that is the case there. This coating is durable and cleanable, but I would not use a very abrasive metal pad on it.The lid makes a fairly continuous shape on the inside when seated on the pot, and it's a tight seal. The continuous shape, and the points distributed around the lid, facilitate the collection of water droplets across the lid where they drip back onto the food, moistening it.It can be used on any type of heat including open flame or induction, but I would do the heating gently.The light green color is cheerful and attractive. Unlike some pots, the handle is already attached so once done with unboxing, there's nothing to do but wash it and use it.

The quality of this Dutch oven pot is a standout. With base of cast iron it is a very heavy pot as expected and does the work it's designed for. Although it can be used for several cooking styles I bought for braising and baking. First thing was short ribs braising with red wine sauce in the oven. Worked wonderfully fall off the bone, tender short ribs with depth of flavor. This Dutch oven made it easy to sear, mix ingredients and put in oven.One of the advantages of heavy duty Dutch ovens is heat retention that keeps things warm after taking out of oven. This is no exception. After serving the ribs were still warm 45 minutes later sitting atop the stove.I loved this seafoam green color. It was different and still went with my other cookware. This came with 2 gray pot handle holders which is a nice touch as you definitely need something when taking from oven or if using high heat on stove. The enamel layer cleaned up easily and so far no stains.I recommend this dutch oven

I have been waiting to write this review until I could really give my opinion on this Dutch oven. I have an old one that I was given many years ago that has served me well but it isn't the best to look at. I got this one and well it is pretty. It works just as well as my old trusty it just does it with style. It is oven safe and great on the stove top as well. The finish has held up to multiple loaves of bread and several pots of stew. I really have no complaints and I wanted to stress that it looks just like it did when new even after some heavy use. The pale green finish is not stained or burnt. Do not waste your money on the more expensive ones in hopes that they will hold up better. This ones is 5 Stars. It works just like my Grandmas but looks like brand new. This one is a keeper!

I love cooking with cast iron because of the even heating and the heat retention. Plus it's just cool. This dutch oven with enamel coating inside is really nice, with all the cast iron sturdiness and heat properties, but a bit easier to clean. It also comes in beautiful colors- I got a light blue green.The 6 qt size is perfect for family meals, baking artisan or sourdough bread, and making soups and stews. It's pretty enough to set out when not in use.The little potholders are actually quite cute and useful and a thoughtful extra included with this purchase. It arrived in perfect condition thanks to the excellent packaging that kept it from moving around in the box. I expect this dutch oven to outlast me at this point.

This cast-iron, enameled Dutch oven is really lovely! I have several -- but this one is really high-quality and feels bougie just looking at it and even more so when you use it. Heavy duty, obviously -- but can take the heat. Washes up easily with no visible damage to the enamel. Lots of these types of Dutch ovens cheaped out when it came to the enamel coating and it shows. This one is definitely a cut above. Super high end quality and class, without the high-end pricing that you see from some other name brands of similar products. This item was packed really well to avoid any damage in shipping. Great product information and instructions on use included. The color is to die for. Very unique. Quick shipping and delivery. Reasonably priced for this level of quality. I highly recommend.

This pot is a dupe for a well-known, much more expensive brand. The coloring is so beautiful. I actually own one of the more expensive pots, and this one holds its own. Everyone who has seen it raves about the quality and has to examine it. Easy to clean - I handwash all of my pots and pans. Truly a fine piece of workmanship.

If I could say what I want to say, I'd type it out. But this thing is already extremely heavy when empty out was heavy as **** to the point I had to ask my husband to move the oven rack and remove it for me with the smallest leg of lamb in it. It does cook nicely, cleans ok but it does stain, I've tried removing the stains for weeks with everything.

I've made two super delicious, crusty and chewy sourdough bread loaves so far with this Dutch oven and I am in love with it! The "oven spring" was better by far than my usual, and the crust and the texture was absolutely impeccable. The loaf was good and tall, and so crusty! I may have achieved this result one time with my old cast iron Dutch oven, but I can't remember two in a row like this! I credit the little drip bumps on the lid, keeping the moisture dripping down onto the crust to make it extra crispy. I love that it's heatproof to more than the 450 degrees I use for sourdough. There are no blemishes or chips in the enamel, and the covered Dutch oven is just beautiful. Goodbye aluminum, hello cast iron!
