I was told last minute that we needed face paint for a fundraiser and immediately got on Bolo to see what could be delivered in time. The price point was perfect, a lot of color options included plus brushes/sponges and it arrived quickly. Kids loved it so much and it was perfect for amateur artists! Will definitely purchase again for future fundraisers!

This kit was great for starting face paint for an event coming up! It had plenty of color options and stencils to use and the quality is very good! The color also washes off fairly easy!

The paint is nice, but it's in a pretty plastic package that you have to put back in the cardboard box every time you're finished. I wish I'd realized this before so that I could have bought one with its own hard plastic case.

This was a great option for a picnic we hosted for our employees. You need water to activate the paint and parents later reported it was easily removed at bath time.

I face paint for nonprofit events, and one of the things I look for in these types of kits is the ease of removal - as face painting is supposed to be non toxic, water based, and parent-friendly (doesn't stain clothes and doesn't stain the skin). This kit also comes with lots of fun additional items, like gems and stencils - these can continued to be used for fun projects beyond face painting.Removal for this paint is with soap and water - I use witch hazel on the darker colors. I also apply a very thin coat of bees wax jelly (also available on Bolo) to the skin first, especially for darker colors, and this reduces any absorption of the colors and reduces the likelihood of an allergic reaction.This kit clearly shows the ingredients with the mineral colors - including food and drug codes for colors, such as Red no. 40 and Yellow No 5. These are food grade pigments, but can still stain the skin.Overall I am really happy with this kit and am bringing it to an event in two weeks - will update if it doesn't meet expectations, but it's exactly as shown on the product page and similar to other kits I have used. The expiration is about two years form when I received it and it has a batch code - hopefully that means there is some level of quality control.

Years ago, I had a "snazzy" brand name face painting kit for my kids. I thought something similar would be fun for our upcoming block party, so I ordered this Drawdart Face Painting Kit for Kids. It's pretty comprehensive. There are 24 colors of water-based face paint (extra black and white, yay!), 2 split cakes for blended effects, glitter powder, stick-on gems, temporary tattoos, stencils, sponges and brushes. plus an instruction booklet. If memory serves, this is a similar quality to the brand name paints. A couple drops of water gives you a paint that covers the skin well. And a scrub with soap and water removes it. As does rubbing it with a sweaty little fist, but once it dries (5-10 minutes) it stays put pretty well for a few hours. I suppose you could use it for Halloween depending on what you're doing--and do a little prep work like use a makeup primer and setter so it lasts.
