    I didn't expect much because of how inexpensive the candles were. I was delighted to see that they emit a flickering effect like a real candle, with enough light to give the desired effect for my Halloween display. They also have a timer option on the switch. They are plastic, not coated in wax like some others, but I knew that when I purchased them.
