I find the MyMealivos megaphone to be adequate for my needs. I usually have a very bright, rechargeable headlamp for trips outside after dark. However, I wanted a more sustainable solution than an aerosol-powered air horn for scaring off coyotes and other intruders, so this megaphone is perfect. I appreciate the wrist strap so I can still hold on to my dogs' leashes without dropping the megaphone. I'm still getting used to the control panel. It's so easy to forget to hit the ON button for functions other than the light since the light has a separate control entirely. I haven't had the opportunity to chase off coyotes with this megaphone yet. I'll come back and update if it doesn't work.
