5.0 out of 5 stars Excellently Designed Phone Cooler that really gets the job done!
The media could not be loaded. The TELESIN Magnetic Phone Cooler is an excellent invention! The design is really cool with cool blue/green lighting which suits me great for driving at night! The magnetic feature works excellently for how I hold my phone in the vehicle. I have been using this cooler with the Texas Sun of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit for several hours and the cooler delivers, keeping my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 running all day.I have a metal plate on the outside of a plastic housing which encases the phone for protection. I keep my phone screen on for 8 hours or more and keep several apps running which hog up the processing power, including the GPS and this cooler is able to keep the device from overheating while in direct sunlight of 100 degrees or more! This thing is so awesome! The only issue I have is the fact that you need to rotate out the magnetic part to get it to seat. The proportions of around 2 and ¼ inches in diameter meant that I could have this mounted on the back of my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 while at the same time using the magnetic phone mount in my vehicle to hold my phone.I like that it has two different setting levels. I use the highest setting during the heat of the day, then I use the lower setting for the night. The higher setting can be a bit loud with the noise coming from the fans but its not obnoxiously loud. The cooler does put out quite a bit of heat. So if you grab around the cooler you may think that its not doing its job but this is incorrect. You need to touch where the phones surface is, then you will find out just how cold the cooler is making the surface.I would recommend that TELESIN should make the inside housing where you can see the TELESIN logo closed off from the outside. This is because you can touch that surface, and that is actually the fan which you are touching. So this can make the rotating fan unstable. I think TELESIN needs to make the holding fixture for the fan itself more stable because I can bump the fan off its rotating axis by hitting it hard so it starts making noise and isn’t as quite as it was before. The way that I run it, I need to have two cables for charging.
4.0 out of 5 stars Cools very well
This cools well, so well, that ice can form if the humidity is high enough. The power s brought a USB-C plug from any type of source. Recommended for versatility.
5.0 out of 5 stars Much cooler than I expected! (wordplay!)
First off, I'm not a big gamer. I used to be, and I've had game consoles, computers, and phones that have all shut down from being driven too hard. These days my gaming is more casual and I don't drive devices into unconsciousness with it. Where I find problems now is when I'm driving in the heat of summer. My phone is used with Android Auto to drive my audio system. My stereo uses my phone to generate Maps/Waze, control my music, handle notifications, etc. While this is going on I still use my phone for Maps (Waze on the stereo, Maps on my phone) and for other things. It sucks up your phone's resources to be used like that, and after some time, if the ambient air temp is warmer, my phone will start to cook. At a certain point it'll start deactivating features with pop ups saying my phone is too hot to be used normally. This becomes a problem when I'm relying on my phone, like navigating to an unfamiliar area or if I'm doing shopping runs for my side hustle.I've tried positioning my phone close to my vehicle's AC vents, which helps but doesn't fix as it's usually still in direct sunlight. When I saw this little gadget I had to try it.This cooler/radiator comes in a nice box, very well padded and arrived intact. It comes with the cooler/radiator itself, a USB C -> C charging cable, and a magnet ring to install on your phone or case.Use isn't too complex. The magnet itself is on a ring that spins on the side of the radiator. You rotate the ring until it's flush with the radiator and press it against your phone's (or phone case's) magnet ring. If you don't have a magnet ring it comes with one you can apply! You plug one end of the charging cable into the cooler, the other into a power bank or other power source, and it turns on. There's a button on the side which lets you choose between two levels of cooling. This thing WORKS. Oh my lord, it actually gets cold! And I don't mean it cools down, I mean it gets cold where it presses against your phone. After a few minutes I could feel cold traveling through the length of my phone. I wasn't driving the phone with intense games or anything, just using it like normal, and it worked so well. I can easily see this working for my needs, keeping my phone cool on insanely hot days. Heck, as electronics just work better when they're cool I can see myself using this a good bit, like when I'm casting to a hotel TV or other things that take some system resources.I'm tickled with this device. For $30 this thing is a STEAL. I mean, really, the other ones I've seen that do this cost way more, may require AC power instead of DC, and some even require water to be added regularly. This, for the price, and all you have to do is stick it to your phone and plug it in? No brainer.I highly recommend!
Fantastic... I have it cooling my iPhone wireless charger
This cooler is fantastic. I stuck it on the back of my Apple Wireless Charger so it cools the charger attached to my phone and thus keeps my phone cold as it's wirelessly fast charging. Now my phone charges at full speed all the way through with it's wireless charger instead of getting throttled back. It's also going to extend the battery life in my phone by keeping it cold while it charges. What I did was I took my Apple Wireless Charger, stuck this USB Piezo Electric Cooler that gets really cold, on the back of the wireless charger, and then powered the cooler with a 27w Raspberry Pi USB C power cord so it can get all the power it needs to get as cold as possible. I took the plug for this and the wireless charger plug and put them both on a smart plug that is Apple Homekit compatible and I used an automation that automatically shuts off the smart plugs for the Wireless charger and the Cooler when the battery reaches the charge level I want. That way it's automatic. I simply switch on the plugs for both devices when I want to charge, stick it to the back of my phone. I set the cooler to Level-2 using the button on the cooler, and then walk away. My phone charges and then it triggers the smart plugs to shut-off automatically when the phone is charged. It's also great for when I'm gaming on my phone too, I can keep the battery charged and cool while playing games. Heat kills the batteries in your phone, so this cooler is a must, even if you don't use the exact setup I did, cooling your battery during game play, extended face-time / video calling that heats up the phone, and during charging it's a good idea to get one of these coolers. Note that a standard USB 5v 500ma 1a or 2a (amperage) chargers are not enough power to get the most out of your cooler. You want a PD Certified USB charger rated for 25 watts or more. The least expensive quality power supply I can find for the cooler is the Raspberry Pi USB C power supply cables at around $15-$17 ... You will be happy you used this because you can achieve -8 Celsius temperatures with no heat load, so when your phone is heat loading it, it will keep your phone around 10-15 celcius which is fantastic for game play and phone charging. I really can't say enough good about this cooler for your phone. Get one!!!
Enfría y carga a la vez! Ideal magsafe.
Superb product , gets ice cold , needs power and is not cheap, but totally worth it.
The media could not be loaded. I don’t know what voodoo is going on here , but this thing gets ice cold in under a minute for such a small fan. I’m not sure if it has some cooling liquid or gel inside , but the contact base goes from room temperature to ice cold metal when the fan is engaged. It very impressive. The fan itself is super quiet for such a small diameter , you can have two different speeds. On the side is a bright lcd readout of temperature and a button to power and change speed.Placement is easy , just twist the base until the magnetic ring extends to be flush with the main cooling base, this will MagSafe to your iPhone. If your phone isn’t MagSafe then there is an adhesive ring supplied to attach to.Note that you do need to power the cooler with a power bank , there is a usb C cable included for this.It isn’t cheap and I was going to mark it down , but it works so well and is very well made , not just in durability , but attention to get the fan quiet and general ergonomics that I have to give it five stars.I am so impressed by how cold it gets, perfect for days in the sun where phones can thermal throttle use , or even switch off. If you are a streamer this will be perfect for long streams in direct sunlight where you can experience lag or disconnects.Just a very impressive piece of kit all round, highly recommended.
