I’m so tired of polyester towels that are described as absorbent, because they aren't. Give me real cotton any day, and that’s what these towels are. The prints and colors are cheerful, and the towels are soft and absorbent. The care instructions say to wash them cold, gentle cycle, which seems ridiculous for cotton kitchen towels, which should be sturdy. If they end up getting dirty and needing a good cleaning, I’m going to wash them with my other towels, with warm water and on the normal cycle.I didn’t realize at first that this set of four towels contains two different kinds of towel: The two print towels are smooth and are “dual-purpose kitchen towels for lint-free dish drying”, and the two solid-color towels have a ribbed texture and by a process of elimination must be the “highly absorbent kitchen towels for soaking up liquids”. The webpage describes both kinds of towel as terrycloth, but neither really looks like terrycloth to me. Well, the back side of the print towels looks sort of loopy, so maybe that’s the terrycloth.Regardless, both kinds of towel are fine with me. I use kitchen towels for drying my hands most often, and I think that both kinds will work fine for that. The most important thing to me is that they are 100% cotton.I have some ancient kitchen towels that are really falling apart, so I definitely needed new ones. These are the best new towels I’ve gotten in quite a while.

These kitchen towels are beautiful. They have a fun print, are vibrant colors, and they are very durable. I've watched them with my other towels and I've experienced no shrinkage and no fading of colors. They are very absorbent and thick. They are super high quality. I am very pleased with them.

However, I found they require a wash or two to reach maximum absorbency which is typical for cotton towels.
