4.0 out of 5 stars Hungry
This is an interesting detox / smoothie combo. It's different from other normal "cleanses" in that it recommends lots of fruits and vegetables in addition to the smoothies. The total calories from the 6 smoothies only totals to around 600-700, so you definitely need to supplement. I was very hungry those days, it's hard to eat enough fruits and vegetables to be satisfied, so I "failed" to follow it completely.I ended up having 1 meal (soup with chicken and vegetables one day), eggs with veggies another, and corn tacos with lean meat on the other day. In addition to this, I added whey and pea protein drinks throughout the day.Results:- weight down 3 pounds. Which is to be expected with a caloric deficit plus I excercise a lot. I'm lean/strong 6ft 180-185 pounds, was down from 182 at the start to 179. It is rare for me to be below 180lbs.- I was hungry a lot, and it was not pleasantNow lets review the flavors- I really enjoyed the banana peanut butter one, my favorite. With almond milk.- Blueberry vanilla was the second one- Strawberry hibiscus was ok but not as good as the others. They were all very mediocre when mixed with water. Not horrible, just not pleasant. There were not the easiest to blend in a blender bottle, or we can say they all have some texture to it. The peanut butter banana was the smoothest, the other two had little chunks that didn't blend that well. Now the question you all have in your mind... how was the bathroom? I can report increased trips there, Unsurprising given the liquid diet and increase in fiber. But it wasn't crazy or anything.Overall I can recommend this, and you can probably see some benefit even if you don't go all out with the just veggies and fruits for so long.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
Really good flavor in these. Unsure of any health claims made by this but they are really tasty and good to drink. Seems like some good stuff in them but read ingredients and judge for yourself if you like. I mostly drank them in regular milk and they were great. Only downside to me is there is alot of powder and it is difficult to dissolve in a single (regular) glass. Shaker cup would help but I just added some water in after I was done and got a tiny bonus smoothie afterward.
1.0 out of 5 stars Good concept - bad taste
The labels and concept sound really good and clean. However the drink is gritty, tastes horrible and watery.I only tasted each flavor once. I used water twice, (once in a shaker cup and once in a blender), it was still gritty. Used oat milk once in a blender, was gritty and watery.Plus the taste of these weren’t good like other juice cleanses I’ve had.I would not recommend. Also be advised that they have a no refund policy.
4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting flavors, but not real tasty
These Raw Generation smoothie detox gut cleanse come in a box and enough for a 3 day cleanse. There are 3 flavors which all sounded quite interesting, but that's where it ended for me. Instructions say you can use water or oat milk if you want a bit more protein, but I will say don't use water, and I'm sure things will be a little better. I found it best with almond milk, but even then, I really did not enjoy the taste. As for the detox, I did feel as though it worked very well there, but we all know you'll need to repeat regularly and for me, I couldn't get past the taste.
5.0 out of 5 stars I won’t hesitate giving them five stars
I loved everything about the detox powders. TAll the three flavors tasted great and the fact that you could mix all the flavors and still taste amazing made me love them more. They also make a great smoothie. I was blending mine with a banana and I loved the results. 6 packets a day would keep me satisfied, not craving for food for the whole day.I would recommend!
4.0 out of 5 stars Decent taste
The Raw Generation Instant Smoothie Detox Gut Cleanse comes in a box of 18 individual packets and three different flavors. You get Strawberry Hibiscus, Peanut Butter Banana and Vanilla Berry. They all taste fairly good when mixed with a milk based product. It says you can mix it with water as well. I have not tried that. I like that the ingredients are all natural. There are no added sugars. I do believe it is a bit pricey, but I don't have much to compare it to.
5.0 out of 5 stars Not too bad tasting, seems to help
I tried this smoothie and it wasn’t too bad tasting. I was able to drink it without any problems and it appears to help with my detox regimen. Of course it will depend on each individual, but I think it did what it was supposed to do with clearing out my GI tract. I need to continue using it to see if it is beneficial in the long run. I will update after continuing using it a few more times.
1.0 out of 5 stars Get Only If You Like Almond or Peanut Butter
I was really looking forward to trying this cleanse...I even went to Costco for organic oat milk like the instructions recommend. I also got a 3 berry mix to use with the blueberry flavor. So at 6:30 this morning, I made my first shake with water, frozen berries & vanilla blueberry flavor. Taste-wise, even with all the fruit added to the powder, the taste that came through was almonds. At about 9:30, I made the strawberry hibiscus with water. Again main taste was almond. But unlike most days when I just have my cup of coffee and then water until lunch, I was really hungry. I ate 3 tangerines and a banana but they barely got me to a 1pm lunch. I made the peanut butter one with oat milk. Boy was the peanut butter taste strong, even with adding 16 oz of bottled water and ice cubes. It did kill my appetite but that was because for the 4 hours I was nauseous. At about 5pm, I did another berry with frozen berries and oat milk. The oat milk brought out the almond flavor even more. I didn't bother with the 2 other packets, just had roasted chicken with salad for dinner. I gave it 1 star for the fruit flavored packets as I like the taste of almonds.
