I am typing this now from the cab of my truck with a laptop set up in this laptop mount. This mount is definitely functional, but lacks some refinements that would be simple to implement. I've used RAM mounts in many different vehicles and given them quite a workout on and off road. This one would do about as well as the name brand models if you accept the minor deficiencies.What's good:+ The mount is very stable and securely holds the laptop+ There is a good range of motion and adjustability in all directions+ Installation is relatively straightforward and simple, but does require a bit of time to attach all the little pieces+ The base has fans to cool the laptop, which is quite important for a vehicle-mounted laptop+ This mount costs about half of what a RAM mount costs and is nearly as goodWhat's not good:- The mount puts clamps directly under where your wrist rests, making typing uncomfortable- Although designed for this model truck, the vertical post intrudes significantly into the passenger area when it does not need to. There is about 6in to the left of the post that could be used to get that post out of the way of the passenger.- The horizontal arms are not secured when loose so that they can pop off when you loosen them for adjustments- The clamps holding the laptop are a little janky and prevent the laptop from closing fully- The knobs on the base do not thread easily, probably because of paint in the pieces or poor threadingOverall, this is a solid average mount. It could easily be exceptional with some minor design changes.

This vehicle laptop mount arrived in new condition and well protected, using custom cut foam padding stacked in 3 layers, inside of a generic boxes. The instructions were thoughtfully produced. It has color pictures and diagrams with highlighted parts illustrating action on that part. They are also large printed and easy to read. The material that make up the mount is strong metal with a protective coat over it. The mount for the laptop has a couple of cooling fans. The swivels and joints work well. Overall, I recommend.

We installed this in our Bus conversion RV as a passenger seat desk so the passengers could get some work done. While it holds it in place very well, the pins force you to hold your wrist up awkwardly. Using a thumb wheel mouse, we can get around that little issue but that is not for everyone.

This is a very good laptop mount for the Ford F150 and other models. Turns the truck into a mobile office.Easy to install and surprisingly stable. Aluminum pole is strong but light weight. Also has many adjustments and locks. Turns the vehicle into a mobile office without taking up any center console space. Has two fans to cool the laptop too.Priced well so good deal for any truck drivers who needs to use a laptop often.
