These definitely have a very real look to them. I wish the flame flickered, but it fades in and out for the movement that a real flame would create. The remote control feature is great. Each candle requires 2 AA batteries, and they don't come with them. These will be great for the outdoor patio (and will of course have to come back inside) and for the nights when you just want a little light. The remote has a timer on it, so they will turn off by themselves.

I prefer to sleep in a more darkening room, but wife prefers some light. Got this while it was on sale. These LED candle lights are pretty cool. Runs on two AA batteries on each candle, comes with a remote with all the simple features like timer at 2, 4,6 and 8 hours, dimmer control with 5 level of brightness. There's the candle flame (smooth flickering that's comfortable to watch) mode and still(non-flickering flame) light. The soft touch was a nice touch for the product, feels like handling real candles, still rubbing my fingers together like I just touched real wax. So far so good. Had it on a 8 hour timer for a few nights. We'll see how long each set of batteries last.

If you are looking to add a calm light to a room as a way of winding down at the end of the day these LED candles are wonderful! However, if you want something that looks realistic these aren't the candles for you. They look cheap, but function great for bringing a soft light to a room at the end of the day. So it really depends on what you are purchasing them for.I absolutely love that they are controlled by a timer. it was so easy at bedtime to turn them off from across the room. There are different settings - one that makes the lights flicker like a candle, another setting holds them steady as a light. I am really enjoying these and thankful I got them.

My wife likes picking up lanterns from decor & home supply stores, and candles like these are a great product to help the cause. You can use the on/off button on the bottom of the candle, but it's much better suited to use the remote so that you can use the timer and not drain the batteries too quickly.There are a lot of candles out there that look just like this one, but their remotes are not cross-compatible as far as I've found.I do not like the CANDLE/LIGHT function on this model. The LIGHT function is a constant light, but the CANDLE function just oscillates the DIM up and down, up and down. It's not a "flicker" that is flashier and has a more candle-ish appearance.Really though these are nice and will do the trick. Bring on the jack-o-lanterns!!

I'm really getting into flameless candles, and these are perfect for creating a relaxing ambiance in the evening or when entertaining. The candles are very well-made, and they even feel like real wax, which adds to the authenticity. The flickering flame looks real, providing a nice, warm glow. Although they come with a remote control, I mostly turn them on manually, which is super easy. Overall, these are great flameless candles if you're looking for something that looks and feels real without the hassle of an open flame.
