THIS is the answer to "What am I going to do with all those photos and movies?" "Is my photo collection just a hoarding vanity project never to be seen?" THIS IS YOUR SOLUTION!PROs: Top quality 1080p (really "2K" or 1440p vertical pixel density - which is even better! IPS type display panel) TOUCHscreen (you can finger swipe back and forth at any time). Good color depth, color and grayscale fidelity Good viewing angles, anti-glare coating. Plays back still photos and/or MPEG (.MP4) movies (with audio on or muted if you want). No hiccups or flakiness. Shuffle or timeline play. Shows tile title date - IF you want it. Shows current time of day in upper right corner (12 or 24 hr) IF you want it. Shows current temperature and sunny/cloudy/rain symbols - IF you want that. You don't have to buy the upgraded Frameo app if you don't want to. It works just fine (and I'm pretty happy) with the standard app. It's not too big and not too small. Two or three people could stand next to each other and enjoy the picture from a few feet away, yet the frame doesn't "take over". You can find a spot for it. The frame "matte" built into the black frame outline does a decent job of mimicking a real photo frame matte. You can use BOTH the internal storage and any docked external storage (USB or SD card) at the same time. Picture quality is GREAT out of the box. No need to fuss but you can control cropping and brightness if you want to.CONS: Must be powered by AC wall adapter. The darn thing works so well, I want to use it like a tablet, makes me wish it had an internal battery that would function for an hour or two when frame unplugged. Oh well, it's still a heck of a unit.I loaded my files with a tiny Samsung USB drive. You have to use either FAT32 or XFAT file system (NTFS file system pen drives will not be recognized).~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~BOTTOM LINE: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We are very pleased.UPDATE 10/05/2024 IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING YOUR MOVIES TRANSFERRED and "RECOGNIZED" by the PEXAR.Technical tip to owners of Sony and Panasonic digital cameras as far as movies are concerned, something that might help your movie files get "recognized" by this Pexar device:If you have any 1080p (i.e. High Definition pixel density) MOVIE files created by your camera that have an .MTS file format (file extension), YOU'LL WANT TO RENAME THAT FILE EXTENSION TO BE: .MP4 (stands for Motion Picture Expert Group 4) file extension. You'll want to do this before transfering the files if you are using external storage (like USB-pen flash drive, SD ("Secure Digtal") card, etc.Once you do what is mentioned above, the PEXAR can then recognize these renamed movie files and play them just fineFor the geeks or curious, MTS (aka MPEG Transport Stream) is a container wrapper of sorts for an MP4 file. Internet search will tell you how / why these variances of video formats came about. It doesn't matter, once you rename the file extension to MP4, the movie will play just fine in the PEXAR frame. You want to "swim with the biggest school of fish" in the technical world of video (if you want the least hassle) and the .MP4 format is exactly that in the world of High Definition (HD) video.P.P.S. I also owned some ANCIENT home movies from a 12 year old Fuji digital camera taken in .AVI format (Audio Video Interleave). I had to do a file conversion of them to .MP4 format so the PEXAR could successfully play them. . I used a simple movie editing software (Windows Movie Maker - no longer made, but there are other conversion software utilities running around that can do the job). Once I did that, the movies shot in this old format play just fine in the Pexar frame.ABOUT VIDEO LENGTH: Some users have stated a 15 second video length limit. That has not been my personal experience. I successfully have this frame playing videos of 2 minutes long of my kitty cat wallering in the driveway. This is 24 fps (frames per second) .MP4 files. HOWEVER, you ** will ** get a warning that importing that large video will eat into your 32GB of internal memory. Such is life. NOTE: I am ** not ** relying on the paid subscription Frameo app. I just use a USB pen drive. Even with importing probably quantity: 6 X 2 or 3 minute length HD .MP4 videos, I still have somewhere around 8 or 10 GB of internal memory left at this point.

Most other premium frames (Aura, slight, Meural, etc.) all force you to use their cloud service and the physical device doesn't have any SD card or USB port for local pictures. This is a big concern in this day and age because if those companies go bankrupt or the cloud service terminates, your physical picture frame just became an expensive paper weight with no way to get pictures to the frames! This is a bigger concern if you have multiple frames.This one has SD card and also 2 USB ports and also uses the cloud service Frameo which is the number cloud service based out of Europe so hopefully they're not going anywhere soon.The actual device is very nicely made, I like the matte screen and the fact that it's higher resolution than other frames. I hope they come out with one in more standard 4:3 aspect ratio!

Gorgeous anti-glare display, very nice packaging, great price, beautiful build quality, easy setup… this device gets so much right! Was hoping this would be an upgrade from an older Aura frame.Unfortunately will be returning after only a short trial because it does NOT have a light sensor for auto on/off and screen brightness adjustment functionality which is a must have in my book. The default settings to display time/weather/caption with your photos is also a miss in my book, but thankfully you can turn those off. Finally the required Frameo app is third party software that requires a $18/yr subscription for functionality that is included with the Aura app (view photos already on the frame, cloud backups etc). Hope Lexar polishes those couple rough edges with the next version!

This is my second digital picture frame and a HUGE improvement over the one I've had for the past 18 years. The technology has come a LONG way. With the exception of one very minor gripe, this Pexar frame does it all in my opinion.For starters, the screen/picture quality is amazing. It's got nice vibrant colors, good brightness to show up well in my bright office (I actually have the brightness turned down) and has a super high resolution (2K according to the box) so all of my higher resolution pictures look amazing! My pictures really don't do it justice, but it truly is a beautiful looking screen that makes my pics look great.The frame itself is very versatile and comes with a magnetic desk mount that attaches in 2 locations so you can display it in either portrait or landscape mode. It also has indentions in the back to hang it like a conventional frame if you want to physically mount it to the wall. You also get a power cord and plug.The frame syncs to the Frameo app through Wi-Fi and also accepts a standard size SD memory card. It also has a USB-C and USB-A input so you can link it directly to a computer. The Frameo app makes it super easy to upload pictures and short videos to the frame over wifi so I don't have to go through the hassle of pulling out the SD card. I don't have Wi-Fi in my office but I can use my phones hotspot to link to the frame and it lets me quickly send stuff over. There are a ton of customization options in the different menus, all of which are accessible through touch screen so I don't have to fiddle with buttons any more.My only very minor gripe is that you can display the current time and even a weather and temperature icon on the screen (weather only works when connected to wifi) but there's no way that I've been able to find to display the current date. There is a date displayed in the lower corner of each picture but it's the day the picture was uploaded, not the current date. With all of the customizability of this thing, I'm surprised that this isn't an option. Otherwise, I think this frame is just about perfect in my opinion.It's $139.99 at the time of this review, and though I thought that was a bit pricey at first, I can't deny that it works great, looks beautiful and has a ton of nice features, so after usaing it for a while, I think it's a great value. I would definitely recommend this digital frame.

A decent and meaningful way to share memories
I put this Pexar 2K digital picture frame at my parents' house, hoping it would keep them connected with our family moments in a way that's easy and accessible. Setting it up was easy - literally plug it in, connect to Wi-Fi, and use the Frameo app to add photos and videos. The 11-inch anti-glare screen is incredible; every photo looks rich and clear, and the images don't lose their quality even from different angles. great looking pic frame
The Pexar 2K Digital Picture Frame arrived quickly in a nice gift-like box, which gives a premium quality feeling. The unboxing experience was very pleasant, with all the components well organized and placed inside the box. The picture frame itself looks stunning when first turned on; the screen is bright and vivid. The overall setup was a breeze thanks to its well-written instruction manual and the Frameo OS, which guides you throughout the whole setup process. There is a 32GB onboard memory, which is large enough to store plenty of pictures. I also loved the MicroSD card slot, which allows me to add even more pictures to the frame. Overall, I am very pleased with the Pexar 2K Digital Picture Frame, and it certainly is a great addition to our living room.
Beautiful digital picture frame
Relatively easy setup with the app and through settings in the picture frame's menu. Once connecting to wifi, creating an account and pairing a phone with the app you can very easily select photos to upload to the screen then fiddle with picture adjustments and scroll order, speed, sleep times, brightness, etc. You can send a link to others or scan the QR code on the frame to allow other's access to upload pictures, which you can then decide which ones to include in the slideshow or to hide and keep, or just delete.Makes an excellent gift for grandparents!Really clear, crisp image. The 11in screen gives a bright, full display for your favourite photos. I would highly recommend this product.
No need for cloud service (the cloud option also exists)
The tablet doesn't lock you into a cloud service. It gives you options to import photos into the tablet's own storage - or play directly from an external storage. The visual quality is good. The box it arrived in is a sturdy box that could be used as storage of knick knacks instead of being discarded.
