5.0 out of 5 stars Sick analog keyboard!
This mechanical keyboard is basic in all other aspects, except for the switches. The build quality is pretty basic, nothing to write home about but its not really a downside. The small screen is cool but the viewing angle isn't really optimal so you cant really actually see it when you're using it. The switches are pretty cool though and have rapid trigger functionality so you don't have to let the switch fully return to the home state before registering again. Over a terrific bang for your buck keyboard.
4.0 out of 5 stars Took forever to find the software and I probably will not use it anyways
The main pros of the Ajazz AK820 Max HE are:* Well built with a metal plate* Tri-mode connectivity* Type C to type A wired* Hotswap sockets* Rapid Trigger HE magnetic switches with Dynamic Keystroke* 2 Stage kick out feet* Easy to read toggles for switching modes or OS* Gaskets to soften the typing feel* Layers of dampening foams* 8000Hz polling rate in wired mode and 1000Hz in wireless* Screen for monitoring pc and uploading a Gif* Nice and bright RGB* 4000mAh batteryThe Ajazz AK820 is a loaded keyboard with features for gamers to set the switch actuation points and other ways to change how your keypresses function with DKS and Mod-Tap. I know mod-tap features cannot be used in competitive play but that is not a worry for me as I do not play in leagues or tournaments etc.I like it for it's modding features which I had to do right away as the stock switches were too scratchy for my taste. I love that it accepts other magnetic switches like gateron and kailh and I did replace the switches with others I had a set of. It improved my user experience a hundred fold and I'm quite happy with this. The stabs were good for the most part although the right modifier switches were ticking quite a lot so they need to be lubed but they did a magnificent job on the space bar and it makes me smile just hearing it.A significant fail was the software and the trouble it is to find it. It says in the manual to download from their website which they do not even provide the url to and they have more than one site and the software is only on one of those. It was not fun hunting it down and I have not installed it, also I am not sure I will. Doing more research before I consider that. BTW Mechlands lists links to software but there is no software to download. WHY???All in all this is a good keyboard and I believe it is a good value for all the features that come with the AK820 Max HE so I can recommend it because it is well put together and I know magnetic switches have a rated 100 million click life span.
3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Keyboard
It's a nice keyboard, but if you are a fast typer, be prepared to miss some keys, they keys have a really long travel, and they're quite soft and not click.
5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Good Keyboard With Cool Colors and Lights
The gaming keyboard offers a responsive and satisfying typing experience with keys that provide tactile feedback, making it ideal for fast-paced gaming. Its cool RGB backlighting adds a customizable aesthetic, and you can change the backlighting between different preset options and brightness levels. Build quality is solid, and it has a nice small portable form factor but it's also made solid and feels quality. The great thing is the connection options. It comes with a long USB-C cable, includes built in bluetooth, and even has a 2.4ghz usb dongle contained in a slot in the keyboard for storage.Overall a pretty decent small gaming keyboard with cool customizable lighting.
4.0 out of 5 stars I love it, but it has the same issues like other AJAZZ keyboards
The Ajazz AK820 Max HE is a feature-packed mechanical keyboard that offers excellent value for its price. Its solid build quality, customizable features, and comfortable typing experience make it a great choice for both gamers and enthusiasts. There is some cavitate though.Key Features and Benefits:1- Tri-mode Connectivity: Connect wirelessly via Bluetooth or 2.4GHz, or use the USB-C cable for a wired connection. It sometimes confuses me, but it's good to have options.2- Hot-swappable Switches: Easily customize the typing experience by swapping out switches for different tactile or linear feels.3- Gasket-mounted Design: The keyboard's gasket-mounted design provides a more cushioned and comfortable typing experience. It is surprisingly not very loud.4- This is not my cup of tea, but if you are into it, RGB backlighting is here with customizable RGB lighting effects to personalize your setup.5- Built-in Screen: The integrated screen is a cute gimmick. However, mine only have the language setting (for the screen itself), and light setting only out of the box. So I kept it on the default setting (date/ battery status/ time).6- Audio knob: the best feature if you ask me. If you are in a game, you will need it to increase/ decrease, or mute the PC volume, as the media keys on the keyboard (using function key) do not work.Cons.My only issue is that it is impossible to use the media keys (by using FN + the designated key). The manual is confusing as to save one page, mingled the Mac and Windows in one spreadsheet that doesn't differentiate between the two, resulting in a lot of confusion. I have two, not one, two AJAZZ keyboards, and the spreadsheet is the same on both keyboard manuals. So, I can't use the media keys on both keyboards. It is a shame that a keyboard that costs up to $100 doesn't have a good manual or at least a video showing you its features. My Experience:While the software could be more user-friendly, the keyboard's overall performance and features make it a worthy tool. The ability to easily swap out switches and customize the lighting is a plus.Overall, this is a recommended mechanical keyboard that offers pleasant typing experience, an experience, unfortunately, hampered by a small annoying manual that is basically useless.
