5.0 out of 5 stars More reliable than other reusable traps I've used
Over the years we've had recurring mouse troubles, and I used to use the Tom Cat reusable snap traps. The nice thing about those is that the area where the mouse is baited and trapped is mostly enclosed, so that I didn't have to see the little guy. If the lever was sprung and a little tail was poking out, then it'd trapped a mouse. I could empty it in a bag without ever having to see it, then bait and reset the trap. They worked great initially, but then seemed like there were quality control issues or something, because the trap would be sprung, but no mouse. Or the bait would be gone without the trap ever springing. And I'd bought quite a few of those. When they worked, it was great. But they didn't always work. And they were very, very, touchy to set. These 6 Pack - Rat Traps - Indoor/Outdoor, Reusable, Easy Setup, Powerful Stainless Steel Spring traps have so far worked very reliably. I don't like seeing the mouse, but the traps are even easier to release and reset than the Tom Cat ones. I've never had one sprung without a mouse, and I've never lost bait without catching a mouse either. Some people have said that these won't work on small mice, but that has not been my experience. You have to make sure you're setting them someplace the mice already run, are likely to run, or very nearby, preferably along a wall or baseboard. If you see mouse droppings along a particular wall or ledge but not another, place the trap along the wall with the droppings (after cleaning them up), because they already go that route. These do snap fairly loudly, and with such force that a lot of the time I find the trap flipped over. The only issue this has caused me is that the mice come into the basement and have a run along the cement block that creates a ledge along the wall, about three feet from the floor. The problem is that my washer and dryer are in front of it, needing a few inches of space for the vent and water connection. If I place a trap on this ledge and it flips when sprung, there's a high probability it will fall between the wall and the washer or dryer, and I won't be able to get to it. Something to consider if you need to place them somewhere other than the floor. The snap is strong enough that it seems to crush the mouse, but not chop it in half or anything, as one reviewer seemed worried would happen since the force of these traps is pretty strong.Pros:Catch mice reliably, big and small (make sure you're placing them correctly)Easy to release and resetEasy to wash and baitOutperforms Tom Cat resusable spring trapsCons:LOUD snapForce of trap springing can cause the trap to flip over, potentially an issue if needing to set it somewhere other than the floorHave to see the mouse (if you're squeamish about this, like I am, it's a con)
5.0 out of 5 stars Worked for us on the first night. Bravo.
These are such an upgrade from the traditional wood and bar style., as you know, those are tough to set, worried about fingers and strength. Not these, press lightly on the back and lock in place. has a little cup for peanut butter or whatever I put in there for snacks, cheese, meat etc. and the clamp is great. The size is perfect for our little problem we caught on security camera. Wondered why the apple was missing chunks and on the floor. Not no more. Not a fruit taken, not a spot or bag chewed in. Works very well. With 6 of them you can throw one away (like we did) or wash it and keep it I guess but for me single use and toss was fine since we would rather pay a little than to deal with cleaning and setting again. Can be used either way. Similar as old style so easy to set and directions rodents vision directly to it. Very well made and would recommend this. I have tried the bucket methods too, and this is just far superior for upgrading the old style. This fixed our issue. 4.0 out of 5 stars Need to grow mouse before this would work
I got this after a tiny mouse that was not much bigger than an inch (body) destroyed a packed curtain after moving. It was chewed up horribly. I put peanut butter and set it up as intended. I was hoping to catch the mouse. It's been more than 4 days. Either the mouse is allergic and avoiding the peanut butter or it's not working as I have seen the mouse twice since I set the trap. Likely the mouse is too tiny to trigger the device. Guess, I need to put more peanut butter so it will grow up strong & big enough to trigger it.Update: This got 2 mice over the week. Either they have grown up or just need to get familiar with it. Cleanup was easy. Very loud when the trap springs, enough to wake me up.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great traps!
This sump pump is powerful and does a great job quickly removing water from flooded areas. It easily connects to a standard garden hose with the included adapters, making setup simple. I use it to drain my driveway when it floods, and it works efficiently, saving me a lot of hassle. The pump’s strong suction clears water fast, even during heavy rain. Overall, it’s a very useful tool for managing unexpected water buildup around the house.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Better Mousetrap? (Effective on Sparrows too)
This might just be a better mousetrap. Pinched fingers are a thing of the past since this trap can easily be loaded in the closed/safe position and it sets itself automatically simply by opening the mechanism. Your fingers are never in any danger at any point. The trap is easy to safely disengage too, just by holding the handle area while springing it with your other hand. I'm honestly very impressed with the design.I constantly have hordes of sparrows going into my garage (despite there not being any food in it) and pooping on my vehicles and equipment. I've tried owl decoys, sparkly/shiny dangly things at the entrance, nothing peaceful seemed to be working. I set a couple of these traps in there and BINGO- one fewer invasive sparrow! I'm hoping the others will learn quickly to stay out of the garage!
