I've heard rumors about the upcoming max but I couldn't wait any longer so went with the insta instead. It's been excellent so far, 0 regrets. It's very convenient and the 360-degree video is better. Not sure how go pro could outdo this tbh. The 8k looks great and it is much easier to carry around with the shape. For me it's a no brainer and I don't think I'll be going back.

If you're looking for a 360 camera, this is the way to go. Insta360 are in a league of their own. Gopro isn't specialized in 360 and I have my doubts about the max.Noticeable upgrade in quality. The X3's main issue was its clarity and image quality. It wasn't even close to the quality from my phone. My biggest hope for the X4 was the 8k resolution and it delivered.The included lens cover and case is a nice addition. The lenses are fragile and the cover is a great improvement because I've had my fair share of drops! However, it does affect the image quality.The new processor makes it much more responsive.Disadvantages:The body size and weight has increased, which I guess is a trade off for the higher image quality.8k does eat up battery life fairly fast so hoping for an improvement on that in the next model.8k also runs hotter, probably because of the power it needs to record so high. As long as the heat doesn't cause the device to shut down, I think it's acceptable, especially since it doesn't need to be held like a phone. If it's mounted it cools down with the wind.

I've been using this camera for over a week now, but I haven't put it through a thorough testing phase yet to provide a solid review. However, at first glance, it appears impressive. An invisible selfie stick is definitely a must-have accessory for this device. While my main focus isn't sports or adventure, it might just inspire me to venture into those areas too.What caught my interest is the capability to capture stunning 8K images, which I plan to utilize for 3D modeling environmental backgrounds to enhance the realism of my scenes. That said, there is some processing involved that I'll need to figure out for effective usage. This gadget seems thoughtfully designed and offers more support compared to others in the market. Insta360 really stands out as the go-to brand for capturing memorable moments.It also includes free downloadable software for video editing, which can be accessed through its app as well. I can control the camera remotely using my iPhone X, and so far, I haven’t encountered any software issues—though I've seen reviews highlighting some problems others faced. One thing to note is that the camera does heat up quite a bit, which appears to be a common issue. The documentation does caution against using it in excessively hot conditions, but it hasn't posed a problem for me yet.

I got my x3 two years ago and it's been a real love-hate thing. After much consideration, I've decided to try the x4.These past two years, I've thought of my x3 as a camera that can acr like several cameras at once. It's also a camera that lets me enjoy my trips without needing to keep my eye on a viewfinder. I can just wave it in the air or set it on a tripod and deal with the footage later.However, the x3 isn't quite perfect yet. Here's the reason why I bought the x4:1. The lens guards look much better quality. I was always scared to use the x3 as an ""action"" camera because of this, so I think I will use the x4 in more scenarios. I never put my X3 down unless it's on a soft surface because I'm extremely afraid of the lens getting scratched, so the new lens guards are very important to me.2. I'm not into complex editing, and I don't want to spend forever just to get one video. But the 360 app is way more user-friendly for beginners than other brands I've used before like gopro. The mobile app and PC studio means I can edit multiple clips in one go and it has a lot of easy tools to help do the edit.

I recently decided to switch from gopro 11 to the insta360 because they're the same price but the X4 has way more features. I was excited and slightly nervous to try it since I've never used a 360 camera before, but I'm very happy that I did! It takes a little bit of time to learn how to use it and I'm not quite at the same level of editing as I've seen from others, but in my opinion the learning curve is worth every second. The AI editing features are a real time saver and I like that the app is free to use. For those like me who already have a ton of gopro accessories, I recommend getting a 1/4 inch gopro adapter to save some money instead of buying new accessories.

Besser als die alte?
Ich nutze immer noch die Insta360 X2 schon seit der Veröffentlichung und bin allgemein von der Idee einer portablen 360-Kamera begeistert. Die neue X4 hat mich einerseits positiv beeindruckt aber es gibt immer noch Sachen, die besser werden müssen.+bessere Auflösung (wobei die Qualität immer noch sehr stark von Lichtverhältnissen variiert), bei wenig licht gibt es sichtbar mehr Rauschen auf den Videos. Beim Videoexport aus der Handyapp unterscheidet sich 1080p 25mbps und 4k 50 mbps nicht viel in Sachen Details und Schärfe. Vielleicht wird das in weiteren Updates verbessert.+deutlich bessere Akkulaufzeit+trotz ausgiebiger Tests, hatte ich keine Probleme mit Überhitzung oder Speicherkartenfehler, so wie bei der älteren X2. Die Speicherkarte die ich genutzt habe war SanDisk Extreme microSDXC UHS-I 256 GB+sehr angenehme Bildschirmgröße (im Vergleich zu X2).- Die Kamera ist größer ist schwerer geworden, an sich kein Minuspunkt, das Gewicht beeinflusst jedoch die Handhabung zusammen mit Selfiesticks, besonders mit der 3m Variante- Kleinste Staubpartikel oder Flecken auf den Schutzlinsen (Standart Lens Guard) sind gut sichtbar auf den Videos(mehr)/Fotos (weniger)- Die Kamera ist wassergeschützt, jedoch sind die Schutzlinsen nicht wasserdicht, nah dem ersten Kontakt mit Wasser muss man die Schutzlinsen abnehmen und reinigen/trocknen.- 3m Selfie Stick wird nicht komplett ausgeschnitten aus den Videos/Fotos wegen Kameragewicht/Biegung des Sticks.An sich gelungener Update einer vielversprechenden Kamera, mit der man kreative Aufnahmen machen kann. Ob sich der Preis den Neuerungen gerechtfertigt entscheidet jeder für sich.

The media could not be loaded. Die Insta360 X4 ist einfach herausragend! Das Auspackerlebnis erinnert an Produkte von Apple und die Kamera übertrifft wirklich alle Erwartungen. Sie rechtfertigt ihren Preis auf jeden Fall. Ich würde sie sogar als die beste Actionkamera auf dem Markt bezeichnen. Die Bedienung ist dank des flüssigen Bildschirms kinderleicht und öffnet eine ganz neue Welt. Meine Social-Media-Follower sind begeistert von den Videos, die ich mit der Insta360-Kamera teile. Egal, ob du sportlich unterwegs bist oder einfach gerne Inhalte erstellst und neue Möglichkeiten der Videografie erkunden möchtest - diese Kamera ist perfekt. Ich bin erstaunt, wie sehr sie mir gefällt. Die Verbindung mit der App ist spielend einfach, und die Dateien landen direkt auf meinem Handy. Die mitgelieferten Zubehörteile bieten unendliche Möglichkeiten für kreative Experimente. Die Verarbeitung ist unglaublich hochwertig. Eine klare Empfehlung von mir!

Das hätte ich nicht erwartet!
Ich will gar nicht so viel schreiben. Ich hatte die Kamera nun ca. 1 Woche getestet und egal wie ich was einstelle, die Video Qualität ist extrem vertauscht und pixelig. Es wir auch nur Werbung gemacht mit den Begriffe 8k Videos und 72 MegaPixel Fotos. Aber Achtung, das ist (jetzt im Nachhinein logisch) auf 360° (Kugelform) bezogen. Wenn nun also einen 2D Auszug aus seinem Video / Foto erstellt, bleibt nicht mehr viel übrig von 8k . Außerdem hat jede Lise wenn über nur 4k und 32 MegaPixel und das auch noch im Ultraweitwinkel. Beworben wird sie aber natürlich mit 8k und 32mp, klingt besser. Ich sag es ungern auch GoPro hat seine Macken und eine eigene Logik in den Einstellungen aber diese kann ich mittlerweile.Die Insta 360 x4 wird zu hoch gehyped, es war meine erste und aktuell meine letzte. Zu guter letzt ist noch zu erwähnen, dass die Insta 360 x4, ein Überhitzungsproblem hat. Meine SD-Karte ging aufgrund der Hitze nicht kaputt wie andere hier berichten.Schade, aber sie Kamera geht zurück
