I was already switching between a work computer and a personal computer with 2 additional monitors and a shared keyboard and mouse. However, I had three switching devices (one for each monitor and a USB switch for the keyboard, mouse and printer). I wanted to clean up the desktop area a bit, and found this switch. In short, I like it. I appreciate only pushing one button instead of 3, and it's nice that there is a 'remote' switch (still has a cable) that allows me to put the switch behind everything else and only have the one button (which I mounted under my desk to avoid messy cables/wires everywhere). My only negative is that the screen switching for my setup seems to take a little longer. Still an upgrade, and a good solution.

This worked fine for keyboard and mouse, but none of the display stuff worked. Neither monitor would recognize that anything was being output to it or that it was even connected to something that could output. Nor would either machine recognize that it could output to the kvm switch.

I successfully used the Cangeet KVM to upgrade my 10-year-old PC to a new LG gram laptop and will continue to use this setup for my system. I used all HDMI version of the Cangeet KVM. The Cangeet HDMI and DP KVM would have been a better choice for the connections on my system. Using the KVM selected let me create a 2 HDMI or 2 DP solution or a combination of this type, so some people may still benefit from the hack covered below.The KVM works great for an all-HDMI setup.Because I am connecting a very old PC to a very new laptop and very old monitors, I need to use a wide range of adapters to use a DP and HDMI monitors that were connected to the KVM. This requires a bit of patience and experimentation to get the system functioning. The HDMI-to-DP adapter is not supposed to be used with a KVM but works fine for me:1. When you place both PCs in sleep or power-off, turn off the KVM (i.e., the power switch).2. When you are ready to use a PC, turn on the KVM and start taping the keyboard cap lock.This wakes the PC and all is good. Don’t wait too long to type on the keyboard as the DP-to-HDMI adapter may get in a mode that prevents it from being activated by the attached PC.3. If the DP monitor ever has a hiccup and gets in a bad state, you may also unplug the HDMI end of the HDMI-to-DP connection, wait about 15 second and plug it back in the KVM to restore normal operation. This step is normally not required but may be necessary if you are reconfiguring displays with WIN setup.If you do not do the above you will find the PC is not able to activate the DP monitor. My DP monitor showed a connected PC but the display was in a sleep-like state and would not activate unless I followed the above process. Once you get used to doing the above steps things work fine. Note you can use the other Camgeet KVM that supports a HDMI and DP monitors to avoid the above steps.I was able to toggle between the two PCs and keep a USB-C thumb drive connected, which enabled me to transfer files or take notes and view them on either PC. This has not been the case for KVMs in the past. For older KVMs the PC sees the drive as unplugged and assumes it was not ejected every time you switch between PCs. The Cangeet KVM prevents this problem. Having the ability to share a USB thumb drive proved very useful when switching between PCs and gaining access to a shared file. Normally I close all the files, on the USB, before switching between PCs.I have been using this setup for over a month with a WIN11 and WIN10 PC. In case you are wondering how WIN11 compares to WIN10, WIN11 has too many bugs or issues that need attention and I wish I had delayed my update until WIN11 and related drivers etc. are more robust.I am happy with the Camgeet KVM and it makes transitioning to a new PC easier and or to get two PCs to function well with shared keyboard, mouse, monitor, and USB-drives. I use the remote KVM switch button and place it near my keyboard so that the KVM and dock can be hidden behind my monitors.--------------- Details ---------The PC had a Nvidia NVS-510 video card with mini-DP and adapters to HDMI.The new LG gram had USB-C Thunderbolts connected to a Plugable 16-in-1 Dock.The Cangeet KVM is connected to:Dell 2001FP 1600 x 1200 @ 60 Hz, HDMI to DVI adapterDell 3011 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz, HDMI to DP adapterWireless mouse using an extender cable for the transmitter to avoid RF interference.Keyboard USB3 connection.USB-C thumb drive

I was looking for a KVM switch to seamlessly swap between a laptop and a desktop computer. For the price, this product does the job quite well. The switch supports two monitors and multiple USB devices seamlessly, and the included remote control works fine.However, the HDMI ports are not as advertised. Try as I might, I could not get a 1440p@165hz or 1440p@144hz video signal to display on my monitor through the switch. Even overriding the display drivers just caused no signal to be passed through. The lack of product documentation and support was also frustrating.The product advertises 8K@60Hz/4K@144Hz, and this resolution and refresh rate should be easily supported by the HDMI 2.1 spec, so I am disappointed in the speed and range of resolution support offered by this KVM.However, high resolution/refresh rate signals can be notoriously finicky for KVMs, and this product’s value proposition is still strong even with these issues.I would recommend this product for day-to-day applications, but if you’re looking for a KVM solution that supports high refresh rate video signals, you may be better off looking at KVMs in a higher price range.

Good and bad things about this product. When I took the switch out of the box, I noticed a rattling noise. I opened up the switch, found the loose screw, and screwed the PCB back into the standoff. I had to provide my own video cables, no big deal. Now the good: This switch is working great. It runs on 12VDC instead of 5VDC. You want 12 volts with any kind of switching product because it tolerates electrical noise better and needs less current to operate. Designed with love, made with not so much love.

This product was everything I needed! It allows me to easily switch between my work laptop and personal laptop with out having to constantly switch wires to my monitor. The device is of extreme high quality and still allows for excellent resolution, giving crystal clear imaging. The connectivity is great too, I was wary that it won't connect quickly or have issues switching but it works perfectly. There is also a little remote, which allows for a quick transfer between laptops. Highly recommend this product.

Funktionierendes Dock mit Kleinigkeiten
Das Wichtigste bei einem HDMI 2.1 KVM, schafft es 4K120 10 Bit HDR fehlerfrei? Ja, keinerlei Probleme.Die Umschaltung funktioniert schnell und problemlos.Je nach Quelle (HDMI kann über Pin 18 Strom liefern) ist das Netzteil nicht erforderlich, aber für die USB Geräte ggf. trotzdem sinnvoll. Grundsätzlich funktioniert der KVM Umschalter gut und ich kann ihn empfehlen.Zwei Kleinigkeiten stören mich allerdings:- keine EDID Simulation, wie bei fast allen günstigen Umschaltern. Dem PC wird also nicht vorgegaukelt der Monitor sei noch angeschlossen. Nach dem Umschalten wird der Monitor vom PC/Laptop komplett getrennt, was z.B. dazu führt, dass der Bildschirm des Laptops sich wieder einschaltet oder ein PC mit manchen GPUs nicht mehr startet, weil kein Monitor angeschlossen ist.- Der Umschalter verwendet wieder mal das eigentlich nach USB Standard unzulässige USB-A auf USB-A.In meinem Fall waren die mitgelieferten USB 3.0 Kabel mit einer vorgeschalteten Verlängerung zu lang und es gab Fehler bei der Geräteerkennung. Ich hatte aber keine kurzen USB-A auf USB-A Kabel da, weil es die eigentlich gar nicht gibt. Nervig...
