This gets a lot hotter than I thought it would. I think it goes up to 212 or so--so you could almost boil water on it.I used to it help me thaw some food that I couldn't put in the microwave, due to the container.It radiates heat well--you can feel it well above the mat--so be careful.This would be nice to bring to someone's house for a buffet style meal where everyone brings something. Or at your own house of course. For a sit down meal, it seems like it might get in the way unless your table is really wide. But like for thanksgiving you could sit the turkey on it, and maybe some smaller dishes as well. I know my veggie dishes always get cold really fast, like broccoli or gren beans and this would be great for that!The only PIA part is that it was to be plugged in the whole time. So if you use it at your dining room table for sit down mean--you'll have a cord running down the tabletop and you need to be close to an outlet or have an extension cord handy. I wish it was a rechargeable.So for that reason, would work much better on a buffet.

This is a very cool product; I am very impressed with it. I had one just like this, but this one is upgraded and even better than the one I had. This warming tray is easily to roll up and store it away when you are done using, it doesn't take up a lot of shelf space. It heats up very quick, and you can place metal or glass containers on top to keep food warm. Easy to control the heat level and super easy to clean. We love this mat; it is so convenient and will use it more often.

Nice silicon heating pad. Great.for.home.buffets. Easily fit 2 casserole.dishes. Rolls.up and fits in storage bag. Very good heat at highest setting. Going to.see.if I can use it.for.seed starter.in early spring.

I ordered this for family gatherings where we need to keep the food warm. It works as described and even has raised areas on the back to keep it away from surfaces that it's placed on. That is my biggest fear. Ruining the surfaces it's on. This helps with that respect. I just wish it wasn't orange, but that could also be a good thing to warn people not to touch it.

I used this the other weekend for a BBQ and it kept the food warm enough for people to go back and get thirds! later on just like it was taken out of a warming oven. it is easy to clean, lightweight and doesn't take up much space but it just WORKS!

This warming tray is so versatile. I like that I can defrost foods, leaven my sourdough, and keep foods warm. It is very easy to clean up, just wipe it down and then roll it up. This has been great for a family get together to keep food items warm on the counter, and no need to run to the microwave to warm them up. I wish this was around years ago.
