5.0 out of 5 stars Very powerful magnet
I got this more magnet fishing. I can say this will do the job. Not a big magnet but it’s a powerful magnet. Says it can do 300 pounds and I believe it. It sticks to the metal legs through a 1 inch thick table with no issues. Highly recommended for any application that involves a magnet
3.0 out of 5 stars A nice magnet, but certainly not 300 pounds worthy
This compact magnet is extremely strong, but I’m not sure where they rated it or how they rated it at 300 pounds. The surface of the magnet is extremely smooth, causing anything attached to it to slide off quickly. If you have a flat block of weight and lifted completely straight up, perhaps you might get a 300 pound rating but it would have to be at abrasive surface so it wouldn’t slide off. Also, it would have to be perfectly centered so as not to slide off.Overall, it’s an OK product, but I would not waste the money because it’s certainly not rated at 300 pounds. It seems to work well at about 50 or 60 pounds.
4.0 out of 5 stars nice size
Got this for my wife for her fishing trips to the coast. I will rig it up for magnet fishing off the pier she has used for over 50 years. Interesting what will come up.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for dredging!
This is a good strong magnet and fairly priced. It comes with an open hook or a closed hook and which ever you pick to use screws in nice and tight. This review is for the product listed as, “DTLHCNCT 300 lbs(136 KG) Pulling Strong Neodymium N52 Fishing Magnets,Rare Earth Magnet with Double Substitution Handle Diameter for Retrieving in River and Magnetic Fishing,Diameter 2inch(50.8mm)."
5.0 out of 5 stars Pinch Hazard Warning!
I couldn’t duplicate claimed holding weights, but these 2-inch diameter Neodymium magnets are seriously strong and extreme care is needed to avoid pinching injuries. Threaded eye bolt loops allow lifting of the magnetic base. U.S. Quarter Dollar shown for size comparison.I hope you find my comments and photo beneficial in your consideration of this item.
3.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly strong magnet
The media could not be loaded. This is a well made and incredibly strong magnet. It was able to simultaneously hold a ball peen hammer and a 3 lb sledgehammer which I couldn't shake off the magnet. Now as far as the 300 lb of pulling force I don't know because I stuck it to a all steel surface and was able to pull it off with my finger and I don't think my finger can handle 300 lb of force. But that said it's a really again a really nicely made magnet that comes with two threaded mount points One is a hook one is a loop.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very strong
I purchased a shipping container for storage and I needed a way to string lights and hang items without drilling holes through the steel. These neodymium magnets are the answer they have both a hook and an eye that threads into the back of the magnet. WOW do these things stick even with several layers of paint.
Get stuck with THIS magnet! Power comes in a small package!
The media could not be loaded. This review evaluates the “2-inch 300lbs Capacity Neodymium Fishing Magnet” made by DTLHCNCT.The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging. What’s in the box: one (1) neodymium fishing magnet and two (2) different lifting eyes.First impressions: Compact. Powerful. Well-made. The magnet is held by a heavy-duty nickel-chromed cradle that has an M8-1.25 threaded mount to allow removal/replacement of the lifting eye. The magnet comes with two (2) different lifting eyes – an open hook and a closed eye. The neodymium magnet is very strong and can lift a pretty sizeable object. The manufacturer claims that its lifting capacity is 300 lbs.How did this product perform? In one word – excellent. To test its effectiveness, I grabbed a 25lb solid steel tractor part from my shop and attached a five-foot length of lifting chain to the magnet. The magnet held so firmly it was extremely difficult to break the bond (I had to use a long-handled screwdriver as a pry bar through the lifting eye). I had no problems lifting 10-30lb steel objects with ease. Next, I tried to measure the break-away force of the magnet (lifting capacity); I stood on the tractor part (I am 230 lbs) and I pulled with both hands with all my might. The average human can exert a pull force between 215-400 ft-lbs (292-543 Nm) and working in construction, I’m pretty strong so the manufacturer’s claim of a lifting capacity of 300 lbs seems realistic because I had no problems lifting 10-30lb steel objects with ease and it is incredibly hard to remove the magnet with two hands under maximum force!Since I am evaluating this product as part of the Bolo Vine program, I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. To determine its long-term durability, I intend to monitor it over the next 12 months. Should anything change over this period, I will update this review accordingly.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am very satisfied with the product. It is well-made, lifts a decent amount, and is very handy. At a current price of $17.99 plus a 6% off instant coupon, I feel it is fairly priced for the quality and functionality delivered. Even if you used this magnet once to retrieve something of value to you, it's paid for itself. In summary: the “2-inch 300lbs Capacity Neodymium Fishing Magnet” made by DTLHCNCT is a well-made kit that can lift a fair-sized ferrite (iron content) object. Whether you are treasure hunting or retrieving a precious lost item, this kit is worth having. I would recommend this product without reservation.Pros 👍:✔ Made from heavy nickel-chromed steel.✔ Powerful neodymium magnet with a 150lbs lifting capacity (claimed).✔ M8-1.25 mount allows removal/replacement of lifting eye or a threaded rod handle.✔ Good size, not too big and not too small. Compact - go anywhere!✔ Fairly priced and good value.Cons👎:✘ None.
DTLHCNCT Strong Neodymium N52 Magnets - strong but definitely not 136 Kg
I took this magnet when I’m doing wiring and I need to find studs, usher cables behind drywalls and other general purpose scenarios (not fishing for sure :-) )Like typical strong magnets, this one also comes in a box with a thick layer of sponge to protect it from sticking to undesired stuff during transport.Magnet diameter is 5 cm and two hooks (one open and one closed) are 6.7 mm thick. Fairly strong.First test was to find a stud screw, but I was disappointed with the result. Magnet didn’t have enough force to stick to it (some smaller magnets that I have, snap stronger and stick). This one couldn't, I guess due to its weight and not enough surface to establish strong magnetic force.I tried to lift my 10 pound dumbbells (one over another) and since they are wrapped in neoprene, the force was again not too strong so the magnet was detached after I reached 4.7 kg (I used a travel scale to measure). (picture shows 4.5 while still holding it attached)However, when I stuck it to my home office table leg (direct metal surface) it created a strong bond. I managed to get to the 20 kg and felt that it’s started getting slightly loose and moving so I didn’t feel safe to continue with a drag to prevent hitting myself with it :-).With my non-scientific test I’d say it’s probably 30-ish kg force, but definitely not 136 kg.Conclusion: good magnet and fairly strong for full metal surface but not so much for smaller objects or if metal is not directly exposed (e.g. wrapped in some layer)Final verdict: 4 stars
Very powerful magnet
If you are using this magnet for fishing, you will really like this magnet. It comes with 2 attachments for your rope or chain. Great product. I am going river fishing with this magnet.
Works Great In Rivers
So far we've managed to test this Magnet in our River as well as a couple of small Lakes period It's actually managed to pick up some pretty heavy stuff but didn't quite live up to the 300 pound mark. I was able to pick up and drag an old bike, a ton of fishing lures and various metal bits but once the bike got out of the water, it nearly dropped (and was only about 60lbs). Overall it's pretty cool to have, but only seemingly rated to about 80-100lbs.
Insane power for it's size.
For it's size this is honestly the strongest magnet I've ever seen. I believe that it could lift or pull the 300 pounds. Really nice polished, flawless, stainless casing and you can choose to use either the hook or the loop to attach to it.
