I do like these lights for the holidays. They aren’t very bright though so they don’t illuminate as well as the other lights we had in the outdoor sockets. They are lovely to watch and they do look I flame in the light fixtures. I thought they would turn off at dawn. My fault there. I thought I had ordered those dawn to dusk kind of lightbulbs but after checking again I didn’t.

5.0 out of 5 stars Authentic Flickering Flame Effect
The video in the listing photos accurately shows the flickering flame effect of the bulb where the top of the flame separates away from the main flame and flames out, similar to a campfire or fireplace fire. When not looking at the bulb, the light projecting outward creates a flickering effect on wall surfaces just as a candle flame would. I really enjoy the effect these LEDs create, with no heat from the LED bulb, and no soot from a real flame.I put these in fixtures operating off a dimmer switch, and they work fine - they don't dim regardless of the dimmer setting (go figure) but the dimmer doesn't prevent their use or cause flickering or functionality problems, which adds to the flexibility to easily use these in fixtures during a holiday and switch back to the normal bulbs without needing to change out a dimmer light switch if in use.

These LED flame bulbs work great for adding some Halloween flair to the front porch decorations. These bulbs are larger than a standard light bulb, so they may not fit in all enclosures. The flickering is a very cool effect, even if it doesn't exactly look like a flame to me. The bulbs are constructed from a lightweight plastic, so there's no danger of glass breakage. These Hompavo bulbs put out a bit more light and look better than similar flame bulbs I used a couple of years ago. They aren't cheap, but worth it for bringing a little more fun to the holidays.

They worked for 1 night and then lost the gas flicker effect. Kinda a let down and frustrating.

These are so cool and really set the mood for Halloween. I’ve had different flame candles from the store that are brighter than these, but didn’t look nearly as good as these do. They genuinely look like real flames! I also love that the flame goes whichever way the bulb is oriented. There’s nothing different you have to do when installing them, just screw them in and flip the switch.
