4.0 out of 5 stars Great handheld game device for the price
This gaming device comes loaded with tons of old games, from arcade-style games to some classic system games. The best games seem to be on the cartridges that can be swapped out in the back of the device. There doesn't seem to be a way to save your progress on a game, so it really is a lot more like playing an arcade game, starting from the beginning every time. This is fine for many games, but makes it impossible to beat some of the longer games. And if you turn off the device and turn it back on, it also resets back to the menu, so it doesn't save your spot.As for the device itself, it's a fairly lightweight plastic, and the sound quality is mediocre, but at least it has a headphone port, so not everyone has to listen to it if you or a kid is playing. One really nice thing is you can play it while it's charging, so as long as you have it plugged into USB-C, you're good to go for as long as you want to play. All things considered, once again this is a great device for the value. It's fun, and great for adults and kids to pick up and play some classic games.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Switch Alternative
This ended up being the perfect birthday gift for my 4 yr old son that wants to be just like his 9 yr old cousin that plays with his Switch all the time. Lots of games to play for little ones to enjoy. The device is built really strong and it comes in a cute little box! Overall, I am very happy with this product.
3.0 out of 5 stars Handheld game
This handheld game is pretty decent upon first glance. The underside has a compartment for the battery (rechargeable), the opposite end has a compartment for the 3 Gameboy like cartridges. It's very nostalgic for me to see my kids using them. However, some things that stuck out to me negatively were that to go back to the menu to play a different game, you have to hit the reset button which also resets the volume level. 6 kids playing these on long road trips with constant resetting just seems like a huge fail. Also, the games are incorrectly named. There was a ninja game that was listed as being The MCU Hulk game. The same can be said about alot of the titles on the device. One cartridge has Super Mario 3 and Sonic which are correctly named. This is an okay purchase but I'm not so sure I will like these in the long run.
4.0 out of 5 stars Reminds me of the Gameboy advanced! But with 258 preloaded games!
This gaming system reminds me a lot of the Gameboy Advanced. It has a color screen that is pixelated like the older systems. This could be great a game system for kids too young for a phone or if you are going somewhere without internet, like camping.* Comes with 3 game cartridges and preloaded with 258 games.* The game system is rechargeable and the battery is replaceable.* The screen is 2.25 inches wide and 1.75 inches tall.* Some of the games are for kids and some are card games.* Comes with a sleeve that slides over the box, making it perfect as a gift.
4.0 out of 5 stars It works, games are suspect
This system works, and comes with lots of accessories. The games built into the unit don't seem that great in my opinion. Mostly versions of the 52 in 1 famous carts for 8-bit systems, I think. The cartridges you see pictured in my picture have some of your more known 8-bit games on, titles aren't the best translations, and you have to look around a little, or they might be hacks of games. It does work though, and is playable, and works pretty well. A-B seem to be swapped from where I'd like them, but that might be able to be changed? Ultimately, for the price it is pretty good, if you don't expect much.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect
Perfect lots of fun good quality was easy for the children to figure out how to play charges quickly as three different volumes
4.0 out of 5 stars Decent unit for the price, some Nintendo games and others of unknown origin, good for a kid
The media could not be loaded. Gameplae handheld gameThis handheld game appears to be Nintendo based, but the built-in games are not standard Nintendo games. Some of them look like hacked Nintendo games with the names changed, and others are of unknown origin. The machine comes with three cartridges, and one of those does have some actual Nintendo games. See photos and video. I popped open one of the cartridges, and it has no chip inside, just a small board with traces. The cartridge just connects some wires and tells the machine which built-in menu to display. So you cannot add any more games. The device has a USB-C port to charge a NB-5L battery, a video out, and a headphone out. Although you can turn the volume down, reset puts it right back to the loud default setting. It plays music as soon as you turn it on.The screen is bright and clear. Given the low price, this is a good toy for a kid. However it's not a real classic console games collection.
