It’s an attractive modern looking case, with a strong magnet for MagSafe accessories. It also looks like it’ll provide excellent protection for drops.I seen several reviews where individuals were unhappy with the camera control notch. The camera's hepatic feedback switch needs room for finger movement and everyone has different size fingers: welcome to a “ no win situation “

I’ve owned Otterboxes since the first iPad. We still have it, but this case is horrible. The buttons are difficult to press. The disassembly was a joke. Last for the money we don’t even get a belt clip. This experience is making me look at other case makers for my family.

The worst case they have made yet! The notch is ridiculously larger than it needs to be leaves a very large area of the phone unprotected and your hands and fingers always catch on it in the worst way when handling the phone.

The push buttons along each side of the case get rather dirty regardless of how often you wash or sanitize your hands or wipe the case down with alcohol prep pads.

Been a longtime fan/user of Otterbox cases. Previously had a Defender XT for my iPhone 14 Pro Max and loved it. Dropped it multiple times but never any damage to the phone.For my iPhone 16 Pro Max, figured I'd stick with this Defender XT case. Bit bummed there wasn't one in white since I got the white iPhone this time around. No biggie. Biggest issue I have with this case is the cut out for the new camera button. Pretty pathetic that their idea to address this was simply to cut a whole section of the case. About an inch or so of the phone is now just open and unprotected. For an $80 case, I'd think they would do a little bit better coming up with a solution but, alas, no....they didn't. Seeing as my return window is closed, I guess I'll just keep using this until I find a better case for my iPhone.

I’m not sure why this case doesn’t have a higher rating. The 16 Pro Max is soooooo expensive I ordered five or six rugged cases to make sure that I got one that was protective and comfortable. This one is THE ONE. I love this case. It’s lighter than other rugged cases and still offers great protection. Just make sure to order a screen protector in addition to the case. Hope this helps!! 👍🏾

This case would have been way better without that hideous notch cut out. What was the design team thinking? It's too big of a notch so your fingers keep getting stuck in it and you find yourself pressing the button more by mistake.As for the case quality itself, it's great. Lots of protection you expect from OtterBox. Normally, I would feel safe and secure with it but that big notch makes that area way too open to possible damage. I just don't get the thought process for it. The side is open and the screen area is also completely open.I do like that the bottom usb-c plug socket has a cover. Which is why i rated it 3 stars for this. I charge with MagSafe so maybe once a year i'll charge with the port and being I keep the phone in my pocket, having the flap to cover the port keeping dust and junk out is great. MagSafe magnet worked pretty well. Not as strong as some other cases i've tried but still well enough to get the job done.But that notch is a deal breaker for me and its doubtful there will be a quick redesign of that for this case so either you like it or you don't.

Ho comprato questa cover per tutti i miei iPhone negli ultimi anni e già dall’anno scorso avevo notato problemi. Lasciava degli aloni molo difficili da pulire sui bordi del mio iPhone 15 Pro Max titanio naturale. Quest’anno ho voluto riprovare per il mio iPhone 16 Pro Max e sono rimasta estremamente delusa. Lo scalino sul camera control è veramente scomodo, largo ed esteticamente sbilanciato. Inoltre temo che possano rimanere segni ancora maggiori sulla scocca del dispositivo, proprio per il foro esposto a ditate, polvere, liquidi, cadute, etc. Non per ultimo, la qualità della plastica trasparente posteriore mi sembra veramente ridotta rispetto alle precedenti versioni…Per tutti questi motivi ho reso la custodia. Se non viene aggiornata, consiglio vivamente di non acquistarla, perché questa volta il costo non è sinonimo di qualità.
