5.0 out of 5 stars Delivious & Organic
I first ordered this popcorn because it got good reviews and it's organic. I find it pops up well in my Whirley-Pop and I like the flavor, so I'm on my second jar. I think it's expensive, but so far I prefer it to other organic popcorn I've tried.
5.0 out of 5 stars Pop’s every time
Big kernels great taste
4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of un-popped kernels
This popcorn is ok. It was kind of expensive. It's tasty and I appreciate the organic, but there are a lot of old maids (unpopped kernels). Gosh I guess that isn't such a good expression any more. Probably got it from my grandma who was born in 1901.It's hard to find organic corn anything so I would buy this again.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good popcorn, light, fluffy, great taste
I bought this along with the butter flavored coconut oil ( never tried it before, it heats up hotter with out burning). I had previously used Orville's original and that had such big, hard skins that were really bothersome. It is true these kernels do not pop up huge, but they pop up big enough. The skins are smaller and thin, easier on the gums. The coconut oil is great, I follow the measurements on the jar, and it has a buttery flavor. The 3rd time I made it there were hardly any unpopped kernels (some split instead of popped, but very little). This time the oil was really HOT, within seconds of adding the popcorn it sounded like the 4th of July, it was popping so fast. I kept shaking the pan often till popping almost stopped, turned off flame. Then add regular salt. Mmmmmm Mmmmmm Goooood!
3.0 out of 5 stars It's popcorn
Just average popcorn
1.0 out of 5 stars Much smaller than I thought - only about two cups of popping corn. Popcorn was chewy and soft - not crunchy.
I realize I bought gourmet popping corn and that's why I didn't give this a one-star rating for the small amount. Most items in this shape of bottle are quite a bit larger. (I'm used to seeing this type of bottle at the local warehouse store). I think the measured volume of this bottle is about two cups. It would have helped to see this next to something familiar to get a scale. But - if I knew how small it was, I would not have bought this item.UPDATE: I just popped the seal on the jar - it was brand new. All the kernels popped, which was good. The popcorn itself was soft and chewy and not crispy like I'm used to. I don't know if this was an odd batch but we couldn't finish it. We threw it out. Disappointed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive, even for organics, but it was great to use and eat
Organic, popped large, tender and crisp; we used Franklin's popcorn oil with it; happy with product, but price will keep us using it sparingly. A very nice special treat.
5.0 out of 5 stars Too pricey but good popcorn!
I appreciate organic foods and clearly I’m willing to pay a higher price for quality. However, this product is priced several dollars too high for popcorn. It is a good popcorn and I am a repeat customer but sadly I never recommend without a buyer-beware price warning.
No son lo que esperaba
Muy caras para el tipo de calidad
Disappointing
It makes a heavier and chewier popcorn, not light and fluffy. Stick to Orville Redenbocker.
