I ordered this hand steamer to replace my big old clunky one that sits on the floor and has a long hose. It is much easier to use, and it doesn't spit boiling water at me like the old one. The instructions come in so many languages on one page that the writing is teeny tiny. I needed a magnifying glass to read them, and they could have been better written. I figured out on my own how to line up and secure the water container. The steamer did heat up quickly and produce a fair amount but not an amazing amount of steam. I guess that's a good thing as I have been burnt by steam before. I was able to easily steam out cotton curtains and it even did decently well on heavy blackout curtains. I know this steamer is recommended for travel but, it would add a good amount of weight to my suitcase. It also takes a good while to cool down so you could not repack it right away after using. I honestly will only use this steamer when I just don't feel like setting up my ironing board and for hung curtains and shower curtains.

This was my first time using a steamer, but I needed one to take to an upcoming wedding. This was pretty intuitive, even for me as a direction challenged person. I filled the water tank with tap water, plugged it in and locked it, waited for it to heat up (less than a minute), pressed the button and started steaming it according to the directions.I have a very wrinkled dress that came in the mail, and the fabric is very fancy pants. I am not sure about ironing it, so thought I would try a steamer. The right side of my picture is after steaming a section for about 3 minutes and the left side is the original wrinkly side. To do the whole dress is going to take me about 15 minutes or more. It was very easy to do and I got pretty good results for very deeply set wrinkles.For me the advantage to this steamer is for use with delicate fabrics and for traveling. I think that with practice I will get better at this. I am thankful to have it to take to the hotel we will be staying at and will have the dress steamed before we go and then again if it needs it the day of the wedding. It just takes some of the pressure off for the big day.

I got this for steam blocking my crochet projects. It works great for that. It doesn’t use a ton of water. It heats up within like a minute or two. I love that it has a steam button. You can produce steam at the touch of a button. You can also lock that button so the steam is constant. I love that I can actually have control over it. I got a super wrinkled shirt and tried the steamer out on it and in just a couple of passes over the shirt and the wrinkles were gone! The only thing I am slightly concerned about is that my lights dim a little when I turn the steamer on. Which is not really an issue. It’s not throwing breakers or anything so I’m good with it. It’s a great steamer at a great value. Oh! And I forgot to turn the steamer off. I remembered about 30 mins or so later that I left it on and I went to go turn it off. Well come to find out it will automatically turn off after so long because it was off when I checked on it.I recommend getting this steamer. Especially if you want to block your crochet art.

I steamed half of my sweater to show how great a job this steamer does. It heats up quickly and is simple to use. It really gets out wrinkles. That said it is rather pricey and I personally think it would be too heavy to travel with.

I tried it out on a chiffon blouse. It took the wrinkles out effortlessly. I did move quickly so water did spray out a little. Instructions were included in manual and right on the back of the box. Super easy to use. Just fill the bottom part, attach and turn it on. There is this unlock/lock switch which starts the steam and then allows you to pause it when needed by switching to lock. I like this feature never saw that on other ones before.

This is a nice steamer. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the cord length. I wish it was longer for the layout of my laundry room outlets. It’s a good little steamer though.
Not any quicker than an old fashioned iron!
Almost 60 and never owned a steamer yet...a friend said last winter that I had to have one...decided to try one and honestly it took longer to de-wrinkle a nylon shirt than it would have with the old fashioned iron and ironing board. The only upside I see is less risk of burning or damaging your clothes but time wise, took 3 times as long as it could have! I took a photo of the corner of the shirt in question before and after. 10 minutes of standing there going back & forth to get the creases out. Maybe the steam was good for my complexion LOL.The steam was instant, it was easy to hold - have to mention that, the handle was very comfortable in my hand and that was noticeable to me right off the bat. It isn't the lightest but it wasn't awkward due to the shape of the handle I believe. I had to fill the container with water and attach it to the base of the device. Easy to follow instructions. Nothing wrong with this product it does its job and does it well but I don't think it is a must have item and in my mind it cannot replace an ironing board and iron.i can see the need in certain circumstances like curtains that are creased or something...but honestly a damp towel and curtains in the dryer take care of wrinkles in a hurry too.

Really exceeded my expectations
Our previous full size garment steamer was very large and bulky and cumbersome to maneuver with the hose and cord, so I mostly opted to never use it, but this one is really handy. The head is large, but much, much smaller than what a full size steamer is, and no larger than an iron, and the cord gives lots of length to move around. You add the water right into main unit, with no need for hoses, and I love that. But the best thing about this is how well it works. I thought it might have less power because it's so small, but it functions much, much better. I was immediately so impressed. It removes wrinkles absolutely effortlessly. I just hang the garment on the back of the door and in just a few minutes it's completely smooth, and not at all damp. This arrived just as we were getting ready to head out to dinner and I was getting ready to iron my husband's dress shirt, so I gambled and tried this right away instead and it was excellent even on a high quality shirt that I expected to be perfect. I'm worried that the more I rave on about this, the less believable I'm going to sound, but I am not exaggerating, this really does work very well and I'm thrilled with it.
Practical and useful
I'm not a fan of steamers, but this one has definitely left me speechless. It works like a charm, it leaves all the clothes very well ironed. Maybe not perfectly, but it leaves them very well, and even more so when you're in a hurry and don't have time to iron them because you have to leave quickly. It's an excellent option. It's very practical for traveling because it's very small and it's very practical to carry from one place to another because it doesn't require much space or weight in the suitcase. The cost seems perfect to me for the quality it has, and I think that as a gift for the home it could be a very good option for those who don't know how to iron like me. This is the best option to have really nice clothes.
Decent small clothes steamer
Heats up very fast and was very effective on all of the three different items of clothing I tried it with. I love that it has a pause button, as my previous steamer didn’t even have a power button on it. The water tank holds enough to be able to steam a few items in a single session which is great. The only thing is that I found the steamer itself to be a bit on the heavy side; although it’s about the same size as my previous one, it has a lot more weight to it which makes using it for an extended period of time a bit tiring and I found that although the handle is designed ergonomically, it was a little large for my hand which contributed to the weight issue - I found I had to pause between items for a few seconds, but the pause button did make that easier. It is stamped underneath as being UL and CE approved (no mention of CSA though).
