This is a typical projector light that has a ground spike or flat base. You can choose how you mount it. The entire unit is very light weight as it is plastic. The skull pattern it projects actually moves. It has a slow waving effect to it. Like how a flag looks blowing in the wind. So that adds to the image. The farther away you project the skull the larger it is. It appears to stay in focus at different distances. You have about a 3’ image at around 15’ away. You get 2 projectors so you can double up the image close together or put them in completely different areas. We will use these to project on our outside walls by our door.I recommend these lights as they look good and do have movement to the image.

I really like these projectors! The skulls come through really well in the dark and scale well with distance from your target. There's motion built into it to kind of cause a swaying affect that looks great as well! These are a definitive new staple in my Halloween decorations!
