I like this serum for several reasons.It's thick, not watery. It goes on smoothly and gets a bit tacky (at least for me) as it dries, but then absorbs really well. It works great under my moisturizer. No irritation and no pilling.It has a teeny bit of a scent, but it's that of its ingredients, not any added fragrance, which is great. I think it smells just slightly of spun sugar or cotton candy? I noticed that sugarcane juice is an ingredient, so maybe it comes from that. I really dislike products (especially for the face) that have artificial or strong fragrances. This serum is very good in that respect.Also, I LOVE the simple packaging. The box is made of recycled paper, and it's entirely plastic-free so it's easily recyclable again. And the product container itself is clear glass, which is also much more easily recyclable than most other types of skin care packaging. Because I keep my serums in a cabinet, I'm not terribly worried about the light affecting the potency. I really try to buy products from companies that are making a conscious effort to not spread more trash in the world, and this one fits the bill. It's made in the US.This is the first product I've tried from Honest, but based on the performance of this serum, plus the conscientious ingredients and packaging, I would definitely try others from the same brand.

I think this is a thoughtful and well formulated serum. However, It is a bit sticky which makes it not the most comfortable to wear with the exception of the fact that it makes a fantastic and healthy primer for your makeup. So, I've taken to using it in the daytime as a serum primer for my foundation and it works beautifully this way while offering my skin great health benefits.I use a lot of other products and layer them in my skincare regimen at night and this is a little bit too sticky for my nighttime routine although I've used it at night as a standalone 27th no breakouts or irritation.I do believe that it has health benefits as my skin has been super moisturized and glowy since I've been using this. I do use fantastic Korean skincare in general, so, my skin is in pretty good condition but I had a little bit of flaking and dehydration going on and I've noticed since using this particular serum my skin has been exceptionally moist.4.75 stars.

This lightweight serum applies nicely to clean skin and it’s easy for me to put my SPF moisturizer over it. It absorbs in and doesn’t just sit on the skin’s surface. I’m able to cover my face and neck with 3 drops so it will last a while - good value. I have sensitive skin (sometimes irritation from certain products- especially natural ones), but have had no irritation at all from this. I like that the ingredients seem to be on the more natural side than some other cosmetics.

This is a good value and option for a relatively gentle, fragrance free skincare serum that’s somewhat sensitive skin friendly and is well formulated. The size is a larger 1oz size and with the ingredient listing and cost per ounce is a good mid-range vs budget skincare option.However, if your skin is extremely sensitive, the niacinamide in it could cause stinging. I have sensitive skin and generally tolerate niacinamide, but I did get some brief stinging after use, that I don’t generally get from niacinamide containing products. It may be a bit strong for those with very sensitive skin, but overall gentle for less sensitive to normal skin.The formula is a serum that’s almost clear but has a hint of color (less in person than shown in the pictures. It doesn’t have any perfume, fragrance or essential oils, but you can detect a faint, but pleasant natural scent to it from the ingredients. I would consider this safe for those sensitive to scents, unless you can’t tolerate even a hint of scent that goes away quickly.It’s a medium, slightly thicker serum formula. It doesn’t provide much moisture, and does leave a hint of a sticky feel on the skin. There is some glycerin in it for moisture, which also gives it it’s thickness and texture.It comes in a clear dropper bottle. Because it’s clear vs opaque, it does let light in which can degrade the formula. You may want to consider storing it away from sunlight and strong light to preserve the product. Since it is a dropper, it’s easy to dispense but you have to use care not to introduce bacteria into the bottle vs a pump style dispenser that keeps air and bacteria out. Please do not touch the dropper to your hand, face or skin as contact can introduce bacteria back into the bottle.This works well as a serum layer in skincare layering over or in place of a liquid spray or toner and under a heavier moisturizer cream. It’s not going to be enough moisture by itself for most people unless you have oily skin vs normal to dry skin where you’ll want to layer a heavier moisturizer cream or lotion over it. A little goes a long way, about 3-4 drops will work for your entire face. They do recommend on the carton directions, using it twice a day after cleansing.Ingredients are not listed or printed on the bottle itself but on the outer carton. You may want to clip them off the outer carton and use a hair elastic to attach it to the bottle. They note on the carton that they use recycled paper, which is environmentally friendly. They did not list the ingredients in full in the listing or listing pictures, and those of us who check ingredients would really appreciate it if they did and we didn’t have to look it up ourselves.The ingredients list is free from fragrances, perfumes, irritating alcohols, essential oils, parabens, PEGs, acrylates and generally known irritating ingredients. I would consider it somewhat sensitive skin friendly with the ingredients and the performance on the skin. Standout ingredients are: 2 types of hyaluronic acids, niacinamide and fermented extracts. It’s vegan friendly, cruelty free and EWG verified.However, I did get some stinging on my sensitive skin from it, and by the formula, I didn’t think I would. It’s likely the niacinamide content being a bit strong. So if your skin is very sensitive, it may be an issue and cause stinging or burning.

This is the first time I’ve tried a product from Honest Beauty and I am impressed! The serum is kind of thin (as serums typically are), but easy to apply with the dropper. It absorbs well and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. It has a faint, sweet scent that dissipates after applying. I’ve been using this morning and night under my moisturizer. I haven’t had any skin irritation or negative effects. This is one I’d buy again and again.

This has the best texture and smell. I feel like it smells very faintly of cotton candy. It’s a great consistency and my skin just soaks it right up. It does feel a little tight after it dries but so does my other serum I use and I just follow it up with calendula oil. I love this company and have used so many of their products - I totally trust them and the ingredients they use. Jessica Alba is one of my favorite celebrities.
