Before I got this I was using an off-brand bottle which only worked kind of ok but was worth avoiding plastic. I was excited to try the name brand version and see if it was better and it was! Here are the ways this is better than the off-brand.-better insulation. This means it'll take longer to get cool in the fridge so it's best to start with chilled water (I already keep a pitcher of ice water in the fridge) but it's worth it for the fact that once cold it stays colder longer. I'm assuming this will keep beverages carbonated for longer as well but I'll have to wait til tomorrow to be sure.-There is an interior fill line. It was really difficult to tell when you'd reached the fill line with the other brand. It took trial and error. I love that on this one there is an interior fill line on this so you can actually see that you have the right amount.-Better fit on the soda stream. On the other brand you had to position it juuuuust right and do tiny test burts of carbonation because often water would spurt everywhere until the fit was perfect. This created a good seal easily and right away. So much nicer.-More functional design. There is a carry handle, it's a little less tall and skinny and therefore less likely to tip over, and finally the texture on the outside is less smooth than the off-brand design which was so smooth that it was actually hard to grip by the bottle without dropping.Sometimes it pays to just get the brand name of something and this is one of those times.

I do agree with one reviewer : it’s difficult to gage the stop waterline because you can’t see it from the outside like you would on a plastic bottle . Other than that it works great on my regular machine , which was one of the cheapest ones offered about 1 1/2 to 2 years ago . I hadn’t realized how much carbonation I was loosing in my old plastic bottles. With this new bottle I can definitely tell it is keeping more of the carbonation longer and it stays cold from 7:30 am through about 4 pm on my desk (don’t use our fridge at work ) . I will order another one in a different color ( wish they had more color options )

The bottle lid is defective and poor quality. Doesn't seal. Liquid leaks everywhere if not stored upright and pressure isn't maintained, so gas escapes in just an hour or two. Product not recommended.

It is everything I wanted with a convenient handle. It fits the machine well (unlike several other ones I have tried). If I need another bottle, I’ll probably get this one. Over the past 5 years or so, I have tried two plastic ones (including the original) and four different metal ones. This is my favorite out of them.

I was excited to try this bottle but so disappointed. It is a little hard to see the fill line but manageable. It seemed fine at first but after a few uses would get stuck on my machine and was difficult to remove. After making seltzer I would add as much ice as I could fit, the ice melts quickly and it doesn’t stay cold. I have only used for 2 weeks and don’t plan to keep using it.

I was tired of my soda stream water becoming warm in my car. After a quick search, I found this bottle. This insulated soda stream bottle works fantastic with my soda stream machine. It keeps the water nice and cold all day long. I’m looking forward to using this bottle during the summer months. Highly recommend!

Love this bottle - fits perfectly on the machine and keeps cold all day. Easy to clean with bottle cleaning tabs.My only con is that it’s really hard to see the fill line on the inside of the bottle, and if you overfill, water will go everywhere when you carbonate it.

This is better than the plastic bottles that come with the soda streams. This keeps it colder and the carbonation longer. The color is very girly even though the pic looks more sand.
