5.0 out of 5 stars Good size light colored deck box
Needed a deck box that wasn’t dark and this fit the bill. Good size for us as we don’t store cushions, only use for pool toys etc. easy to build and seems as sturdy as others that cost more.
4.0 out of 5 stars So much room in the 100 gallon box!
I wanted a deck box that could double as a seating bench and was large enough to store my patio furniture chair pads, pillows and grill supplies. This one checked all my boxes.ASSEMBLY: Instructions were clear and I watched some of the assembly videos here. We assembled in the house and then took it outside. Everything aligned exactly as expected. It truly did take only about 20 minutes plus a little more time later for the hydrolics to be installed on the lid. Each of the panels is labeled for easy assembly. I did solicit help from my young daughter to hold things in the proper place while I assembled, but there was no issue in assembly. Some of the sides are easier than others to fit and click into place. The lid was an easy installation and I seriously believe if we are careful and don't fling the lid open on one side, it will last very long. The hydrolic hinges work well to keep the lid open. Hinges were easy to install. I do plan on keeping it locked just so the winds here in the High Plains of Texas won't be tempted to open up this treasure chest.COLOR AND SIZE: I ordered the gray 100 gallon size deck box. It is a taupe-mushroom gray. The color matched the photos here and the size was larger than I imagined which is a benefit for me! It isn't too tall for someone to sit comfortably.STURDINESS: The way all the pieces fit together makes up the sturdiness of this storage box. I do believe that two adults could sit easily on the lid, though we've not tried it yet, we did with just one person. This box has a 660 pound lid capacity. It is light weight yet feels so durable and I feel it will last a very long time. The lid is more flimsy than I had imagined and when opening and closing, hinges work well but be careful with it as the lid mechanism isn't sturdy as I'd hoped. The lid is the reason for only 4 stars. Right now it is fine though and we are happy with the box as a whole.LEAK PROOF: The same day this was assembled, we had a thunderstorm with hours of rain. Everything was dry inside the next morning. At some point the box carrying my storage unit was dropped causing an inperfection in the plastic. The right side corner of the lid has a defect in color now due to the damage, however, we didn't notice it until everything was assembled. All in all this is a great deck box. I'd order another one again if needed.
5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good.
Bought this because large containers from the big box stores are outrageously overpriced. This thing is great so far. Had several windy and wet days and it’s dry on the inside. Holds two adult size bikes, all the cushions for the outdoor furniture, all the bird food and miscellaneous items from out back patio. Highly recommended. Functions great and is sturdy as well. The lid fits like a glove and overlaps the bin so it does great keeping the water out. Has heavy duty Velcro to keel it closed as well. Great item!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, but it's not gray
Quite pleased with this. As others have noted, this is taupe - brownish-gray. But I knew this from the reviews before ordering and am OK with that. Arrived well-packed with no damaged pieces.Otherwise - and this is a plus - the instructions say that 2 people are needed to assemble this. Not sure why. I did it myself. Needs just a bit of strength to snap the parts together mostly using your weight, but most people should be able to do this. If in doubt, after you look at the size of the pieces, by all means have someone else to help.About those instructions: They are good enough but not great. This is easy enough to assemble that I doubt you'll have any issues using the instructions as a rough guide. The six panels do snap together easily. And follow the instructions when snapping the lid on. Lay the box on its back and push it down onto the cover. The weight of the box helps the lid to easily snap in-place.You start with the back piece and snap the sides on. Then the front piece, then the bottom, and the lid last. I think it took me about 5 minutes to snap it all together and no more than 10 minutes to screw on the metal lid supports with 4 screws. Took longer to unpack it, take the pieces out to the deck and go over the instructions than it did to get this assembled. So I do like it. And it appears that it can easily hold the weight of two people sitting on it. Looks good, too.
3.0 out of 5 stars Plenty of room and water tight.
Good box and good value. My only problem is the top is very flimsy. Strong gas springs mean you have to push hard to close it, and the top is so pliable that it is awkward to close it. There needs to be better reinforcement in the lid to give it MUCH more rigidity. I guess as it ages and the plastic dries out, it will one day crack in my hands.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to put together, perfect size
Great unit
1.0 out of 5 stars I received a piece of garbage
The two C pieces (the short sides) of my deck box were apparently made wrong. They would NOT fit into the long side pieces. I got a rubber mallet to try to tap them into the slots, and with just light whacking chunks of the plastic broke off. What a cheap piece of garbage! I was able to get it together finally in some semblance of how they showed it being built in the videos, but it's clearly not going to last long with those side pieces broken. And forget about waterproof. Forget about keeping bugs out. Heck, chipmunks can get through those broken places!I live too far away from a UPS store and am too old and tired and aggravated to have to deal with trying to force these pieces apart and try to fit it all back into the box again to return it, so I'm essentially pretty much out over a hundred bucks. It just really makes me angry! How was I to know the pieces were made wrong until after the fact? When you buy a product that's supposed to be easy to put together, it should live up to the claim. I am just so mad about this!Update: Bolo, bless them, gave me a full refund after I called them to complain about this company's quality control. I didn't expect a refund because I couldn't deal with the return, but they gave me one anyway. Ten stars for Bolo, one for the product.
Baule esterno
Esattamente come descritto, capiente. Il colore è tortora, lo avevo visto bene in foto e lo volevo esattamente così. Vedremo la durata al momento e’ su un patio esterno ma coperto.
Good Product
Easy to assemble and good value for price. Holds alot of deck equipment and is water proof
Time will tell
I do not believe this box is waterproof but is maybe water resistant. Time will tell once exposed to weather otherwise built very well appears to be solid and not difficult to put together. Looks good. Good buy for price.
les vis pour les bras de suspension n'etait pas dans le kit d'installation
vis manquante
Good quality product -- will wait to ensure it is waterproof!!
It was very easy to assemble but had to get help to get the lid to attach - you needed extra brute strength to get the lid to lock in place. Also needed help with the two lid supports - instructions could have been clearer for amateurs
