I've tried out a number of these $20-ish handheld game consoles and this one is about as good as any of them. If anything, it's a little bit better than a lot of others because of the slightly larger 3.5" screen.The controls are decent with the D-pad and buttons working as expected. However, that joycon-looking control on the upper left is next to worthless. it's very tight and difficult to move so I quickly gave up trying to use it. But since most other handheld consoles like this one don't have that type of control, you're not really missing anything.The rest of the experience is about what you would expect except for the added surprise of having to select Chinese or English as the language every time you start up the device.The games are...well...for $20, you get a lot of 8-bit, NES-era games. And as usual, the biggest problem with having 500 games is that the only way to scroll through the games is to hold down the "down" key and just scroll through them very not-quickly. If your favorite game is #300, you're in for a long wait until you get to your game.But scrolling pains aside, there are a ton of games in here - some duplicates, some in other languages, and some that...I still haven't figured out. But there are plenty of classic 8-bit games and you can definitely relive your childhood gaming experience with one of these.

While the screen on this is a decent size, and the controls are responsive, what has me irritated is that on the one we got, there are quite a few repeats of games. It also doesn't seem to hold a charge for very long, though they are able to play in on the charger. This comes with the charging cord and 1 rechargeable battery. The children seem to like some of the games, and some they have no idea how to play them. This comes with the option to have the language in Chinese or English, which it asks every time it is turned on. I do like that this has some of the classic games like space invaders, Pac Man, Dig Dug, Super Mario, Doctor Mario and Angry Birds, but then it has a bunch that I have never heard of. As to the duplicates, we tried Burger Time, played a few rounds, then went to the other Burger Time and played it, and it is the same game, so you are not getting 500 unique games on this device, or at least on the one we received. Due to the diminished games, I gave it 3 stars.
