I am delighted with my purchase! My dishes arrived today, in perfect condition. I love the handmade look of the glaze; the slight variations in the color and pattern enhance their appeal. I did not want dishes that looked mass produced. They look expensive; solid and well made with a nice weight, but not too thick and heavy. Just what I was hoping for and I couldn't be happier. After days of looking and reading reviews I decided on the Gibson Elite Matisse, in the Taupe color. I can totally recommend them. These dishes would make a grilled cheese look elegant :)

I really like the color of this set but I am really disappointed in the cereal bowl. The description said there were 4-27oz cereal bowls. The bowls are small & not 27 oz.

This set of dishes is a nice casual dining option. I prefer something microwave and dishwasher-safe. I ordered the 12-piece in sea blue. It was easy to find coordinating mugs to complete the set. This is a good basic set that is perfect for those just setting up a household. I don't think they will break easily and look like they will provide years of use. I would order the dishes again.

These are wonderfully designed and accented plates. They are well-made, solid dishes: you can tell by their feel that they can withstand some impact (though I didn't try to break them or anything.)Easy to clean, the main draw is the design, which is unique and eye-catching. If you like the look, these are great plates for everyday use or special occasions!
3.0 out of 5 stars UPDATE 11/24/24 - Medium Weight - Rim Depth of Color Saturation Varies - Relatively Small Bowls
UPDATE 12-24-24 One chip in a bowl. The base of the bowls are too narrow, which leads to them tipping easily. Yet again, it seems another product has gone from design to market without much testing.These are not too heavy or light. The color around the rim of some pieces is much lighter than others. I understand variations in hand-colored pieces, but this veered more into QC than natural variation. I wish the plate design lines would go all the way to the rim, but that's pretty subjective. The bowls were a little smaller than I expected, but I've been using them for mise en place. Overall good set.
