Got these to add an external custom jump pack adapter for my riding lawn mower and potentially future garden tractor implementation when I sell the riders and move to. Will be handy as well with a little more circuit thought, to use for rear mounted and maybe up front electronic implements that are with the power spec as well. Still more brainstorming for those and study needed. Might just be to integrate for charging those implements dedicated batteries while running as I'm planning to implement solar for as well to tend-maintain. Did upgrade the stator with a Schottky diode so can charge an AGM with a little higher voltage. Need to upgrade the stator as well if you get into what I'm detailing.

These are solid panel mount 50 amp connectors. The contactors are sized for up to 6 gauge wire. I plan to use these to create a portable solar box that will charge my 4800 watt battery bank. This will work well for that application because it won't get wet. These do not appear to be waterproof. There is no gasket to seal it against the panel or to seal the cover. I think using butyl putty tape would help but the cover is also not waterproof. It's more of a light plastic lid to prevent items accidentally poking inside the connector opening.The connector and panel mount seem strong and will hold up to use. For my application it's fine but don't plan on using it out in the rain.
