Here are my opinions on this soldering iron:Packaging:All included items were packaged inside the box very nicely and no items were missing. No issues here!Usage: During my use with this product, I was building a speaker for my home theater/mixing studio. I was in need of a soldering iron in order for me to get the speakers crossover components properly heated to the board with solder. This soldering iron heats up very very quickly! (Literally within seconds). Along the side of the iron, it shows a display of how hot the iron is, as well as buttons to control its temperature.The soldering experience i had with this iron was very good! I am use to soldering irons going bad often (especially their tips), but this one never faulted! Throughout the entire process of getting my speaker crossover components properly installed to a PCB, I never had any problems with the iron, weather it was the tips going bad, or the iron not tinning properly.*I was using high quality solder from Cardas Audio, which has flux inside its leads.- The solder choice i choose could’ve been a huge factor to the soldering irons performance, but then again, I can only talk about how my experience was with the items I was using with it.Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase. This is a great value for the money and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a cheap iron to get the job done professionally!
2.0 out of 5 stars Expensive 80W soldering iron kit with some problems..
This 80W soldering iron kit cost $16 so it's not a good deal. There are several issues with the soldering iron. The tip seem a little angled (I have not tried other tips yet.) The power cord is stiff and the 2-prong plug doesn't stay in the power socket (maybe it's too thin.) After testing for 15 min, the LCD started to get dark on the right half (probably due to heat or it's defective.) The iron will go to sleep around 3 mins (but the instruction doesn't mentioned this.) The 3 rubber buttons are so cheap and poorly designed that it's mounted crooked. You have to really wait when long press to get the - and + to change continuously. Usually for safety reason, you should long pressed the power button to turn on; but this design has it short pressed (why?) You long pressed the power button to switch between C and F.

I love that this has everything I need. It works well and the heat level stays consistent and strong. It’s durable and so easy to use. I really like how the set up is in the box so throngs can be placed into its place without having to worry about searching for what goes where. And it’s so easy to store in the smallest place. The design of it is simple but beautiful.

I really like these soldering iron kits that heat up very fast and you can control the temperature up to 500°F depending on what you're working on. I thought it was really cool to have a little stand that came with it that's just a small folding stand as well as all the accessories that you need to get started on any of your soldering needs. Feels durable in your hand lightweight and is your access to a lot of control for your work. Includes multiple tips which are easy to change out if you're working with heavier material or if you are even using the flat tips to weld plastic back together. I highly recommend this for an electrician out there who's looking for a simple but decent soldering iron kit to throw in there tool bag

The description of the product says that the temp is adjustable. Indeed it is, but not to the degree claimed. It says: "Temperature 180-500°F" what it actually means is 180 - 500 Celsius. You can switch between F and C but the minimum temp is 180 C or 356 F. I selected this product believing it would be able to go down to 150 C but alas it does not. This kind of false advertising is inexcusable and thus earns a 1 star from me.
