I have a dark spot on my face that I’m trying to lighten. A dermatologist started out on it with that liquid nitrogen sprayer they love so much. This definitely helped, but did not eliminate, the dark spot. So I’ve been using over-the-counter skincare products to try to blanch the area further, and I do think these work so long as you are patient. This one is a thin, clear, colorless and odorless serum. It spreads easily, dries quickly, and is not at all oily or sticky once dry. I haven’t experienced any adverse effects (no redness, swelling, stinging, itching, or peeling). There’s an expiration date on the bottom of the box that is 3 years from the date of manufacture. (I received my bottle 2 months after the manufacturing date.) I am using it in combination with other products, including a Vitamin C serum, a retinoid (at night), and daily application of sunscreen. Because I use multiple products, it’s difficult to know which product is providing the greatest benefit. The key is to remember that improvement will be slow, but patience is gradually rewarded. But since my facial dark spot was previously lightened by a dermatologist, I can’t tell you what might happen if you use this de novo on a darkly pigmented area.

This serum is a pretty purple color! I thought it was just a colored bottle from the pictures.It goes on easily, just a couple drops will do. It absorbed nicely when I massaged it into my skin. It doesn't feel greasy or heavy.I couldn't say how effective it is in the long run but I do feel I had reduced redness on a problem areas shortly after use.

This feels a little tingly upon application. It does absorb well and I can not detect any smell. My skin looks and feels wonderful. I use it a couple of times a week.

Absorbs well and doesn't have an overpowering scent. The packaging is nice. The dropper isn't a cheap one and dispenses product easily.My skin feels nicely hydrated when I use this and it seems to be helping the darker areas under my eyes.

It's been just a few weeks, so I can't comment on the results yet (because I haven't seen any yet). But I can say that it is gentle, even on sensitive areas like the neck or around my eyes. It is not greasy and feels comfortable. I tend to use it at night just to be on the safe side with sunlight. I am happy so far.

This is a very strong serum. I have super sensitive skin, but I also have a couple small acne scars and some hyperpigmentation on my nose which I would love to fade off.I did try this initially very lightly, but only on my chin and forehead, to test this serum. I didn't break out, but the serum sort of tingled on my skin uncomfortably. I know that means it's too reactive for my skin.I then just started using it on my spots, and I do think it's helping to fade them, but I have to use it carefully.Note that this serum contains Kojic acid, which a lot of beauty fans love. My skin cannot tolerate kojic acid.Had I known that this serum contained Kojic Acid, I would not have ordered it as I know my skin is intolerant to that ingredient.

The serum itself is very watery consistency but was very easy to dispense and apply. I used it over my entire face and it was absorbed quickly without leaving any stickiness. There was no discernible scent so it would be good for those that are sensitive to smells. Even though my skin is on the sensitive side, I felt no irritation nor was any area reddened by the product. I was pleasantly-surprised by how silky and soft my skin felt after this serum was absorbed. Time will tell if it does anything to fade my few 'sun spots' but I am quite impressed with how nice it left my skin feeling, especially for the low price of only $18. A little serum goes a long way so that is definitely worth the price.
